1 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 02/08/2020

I was interested in this car but before purchasing I took it to firestone for a pre-purchase inspection. One of the repairs needed was a cv axle. It was popping when you make turns and visibly leaking grease. The dealership refused to make any repairs without drastically increasing the price. Essentially, they would make more money selling this unsafe vehicle to an unsuspecting buyer. If a cv axle fails when a person is driving, it would mean complete loss of the vehicle and therefore obvious consequences. I understand a used car needing maintenance, however this is complete negligence that could result is someone losing their life. Please investigate earnestly, I'm guessing this isn't the first nor the last time this will happen at this dealership. You can see which dealership I'm referring to by looking at the ownership record and the date of incident, or by contacting me directly.

2 Suspension problem

Failure Date: 10/28/2013

Front suspension for both right and left sides has excessive play.

3 Suspension problem

The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that the brake pedal abnormally traveled to the floorboard when depressed. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer several times, but the failure was not corrected. The dealer replaced the brake cylinder four times. The contact spoke with the manufacturer and was told that the vehicle was operating in the manner in which it was designed. The failure mileage was 75 and the current mileage was 34,000. The horn was replaced. Also, the consumer problems with the front end, the tires were cupping, as a result the front end had to be aligned. Also, there were water stains on the carpet. It appeared water entered the vehicle through the holes in the tire wells. The oil drain plug was replaced. Updated 09/02/14.
