Vehicle Speed Control problem #2

Driving down the highway 49, started to take an exit into town. The car wouldn't slow down, tapped the brake, but the rpm kept revving up. I placed my foot on the brake but the car wouldn't slow. I came off the off ramp at 60 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour street. Continued pressing on the brake, when I attempted to lift my foot the car would go faster. Knew I couldn't make it through the stop light was able to turn onto a side street shifted the car into park and turned the car off.
