I have the very basic model of the 2010 Hyundai Accent. As I was driving down the road a woman was nice enough to stop me and tell me my brake lights weren't on, so I pulled over and tried testing it out to see what she was talking about, every time I stepped on the breaks none of the lights came on. I went home and had my step dad take a look but nothing in the fuses were lose and none of the bulbs were burnt out, so we did some research online and noticed that Hyundai sent out a safety recall "Hyundai is recalling 1,059,824 vehicles, including the 2007-'09 Hyundai Accent, because of roll away risk and brake lights that may not illuminate. . " I am more than sure this is effecting my car as well.
The contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the brake pedal was depressed but the brake lights failed to illuminate. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
