On several occasions, the vehicle stalled. The local dealer (sterling Hyundai of lafayette, 5001 johnson st, lafayette, la) and the manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 17,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer numerous times for the ignition, battery and problems with stalling. The dealer performed a diagnostic that located the failures at the battery cable, the ignition wiring system and the front suspension was corroded. In addition, the engine oil container and starter motor connector was also corroded. The dealer replaced the battery cable and several other unknown parts but the failure was not corrected and the vehicle continued to stall. The vehicle was not further repaired.
