Tamara recall my car keeps shutting off and won't get any rpms and it doesn't show anything on the code reader, one of those times I had kids in the car and I had no brakes at all when it shut off the engine but kept the radio on.

Was driving my car on the highway and my speedometer kicked off. I was in motion and then the abs, break and traction lights popped up and my speedometer went to 0 even though I was traveling at about 70mph. This is dangerous and poses a real threat to safety. It has happened many times.
Check engine light for knock sensor keeps coming on and off. This is constance issue that I have been having. I have notify the dealership but they arr saying that therr is no recall regarding knock sensor on a 2012 Hyundai Accent GLS.
While drive about 60 mph the check engine light came on (02/20/2018). I went to get the codes read by a local auto parts store. The codes p050a and p0326 were identified. I have had many issues with the check engine light coming on with the same codes. When I make an appointment to get it checked out. The check engine light goes off. I have just had my vehicle inspected and emission test completed by the #1 cochran Hyundai dealership (monroeville, PA) on 02/16/2018. This seems to be a continuous issue. Check engine light comes on for maybe a week or so then goes off for a week or so.
Code p0236 and p050a comes on and goes off. Hyundai dealership said that there is no software update or recall requesting firmware update.
Electrical malfunction with window device causing a passenger door fire. Also causing no headlights, rear lights, interior electrical everything, locks and windows all around the car not to function. Hyundai declines paying yet still wants this vehicle as is on the road. Please see attached photo. On 1/15/18 it was a cold day, I rolled the window down and attempted to roll it back up with the window started making noise. It did roll up and I proceeded back inside to work. I went outside on break and my car was on fire. The car was not in motion and no one was in the vehicle to initiate the fire.

2015 Hyundai Accent electrical malfunction on the front passenger door causing a fire. The car was parked but the window made a horrible noise when being rolled up. When I went back to the car, the door was all melted. Hyundai inspected the vehicle and stated the cause of the fire is unknown but declines fixing or replacing it. Every week its a new possible cause but nothing confirmed except unknown. The car is covered under the new vehicle warranty but my attorney has been unsuccessful . At this time with no head lights, tail lights, electrical dash, windows or locks, Hyundai has stated they cannot confirm the car is safe to drive, but want me to put myself and my unborn child at risk.
Tl- the contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that while driving, all of the lights on the dashboard illuminated for 15 seconds then turned off. The contact also stated that as a result, the mileage had inadvertently reset. The contact called an unknown local dealer where the dealer stated that, the vehicle could be diagnosed only if the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 32,000. Lt.
This computer malfunction has created dangerous situations. The car is unpredictable and hazardous to me and everyone in traffic. 6/8/when the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light, the battery light came on and the car could not move. After I turned off the engine and then turned it on again, the problem was gone and I could drive. 7/27/the problem recurred in a similar fashion, again after stopping at a traffic light. Only this time multiple lights came on on the dash board, and the car could not move. After restarting I could keep driving. 9/24/while driving, multiple lights came on on the dash board. A few moments later they went off, but the trip odometers a/b reset themselves to 0. 1/17/the same problem recurred. While driving, multiple lights came on on the dash board. A few moments later they went off, but the trip odometers a/b reset themselves to 0. Repairs to fix the problem: the cluster was replaced. The alternator was replaced. But the problem has been recurring again.
On several occasions the car acts as if we have turned off the ignition and completely stalls except that the motor is still going in spite of our attempt to accelerate. The car has no power. Needless to say this has resulted in near accidents. This has been an issue for over a year and has been at alexander Hyundai four times for the same driveability issue. We have requested the throttle positioning switch be replaced under warranty and were told it could not be replaced until the unit fails. The unit failing could result in an accident and/or injury to ourselves or others. This problem was first reported to alexander in September 2016 and continues to the present time.

I was driving on a street when I went to make a stop. I was going about 15-20mph and had 3 car lengths room ahead of me. I tried to press on the brakes to make a stop, and the brakes did not work. The brakes ended up shaking and the brake pedal kicked back at me. It seemed as if abs kicked in prematurely, or esc kicked on prematurely. My wheels locked up causing my car to slide into the car ahead of me. I am not a mechanic so I am not sure which. I hit a vehicle in front of me. I took my vehicle to a third party dealership who ran a diagnostic on my vehicle and said without a doubt that my primary pressure censor malfunctioned, as well as a brake switch error occurred. The mechanic said this is without a doubt the reason the brakes malfunctioned. I tried to call Hyundai, who told me they couldn't get the vehicle in the shop & to keep driving it for another 2 weeks until I could get it in their shop. I called Hyundai of America & they keep passing me off. Finally I got a hold of a claim person, who said I needed to get certain paperwork in within 30 days of the incident in order for them to investigate. Now that the paperwork is in, they say it will take another 6-8 weeks to make a decision (they have said nothing about inspecting the vehicle). I am now terrified to drive and will never ever own another Hyundai again! worst customer service ever, and I do have proof from a mechanic that this is not my fault. Per the service guys in Hyundai, they said they can not duplicate the issue (they only drive it for 2 miles) so they will not be putting more time or money into figuring it out.
This is the second time I'm reporting this defect. I bought a brand new car on 11/28/2015 less than a week later while driving the normal speed limit the car began to power down and the engine light and battery light came on. I had to put the car in park then restart the car again this happened several times. The car was towed to the dealer to be serviced. I was told a new transmission was needed, the the torque converter locked up and this is what caused the car to power down and engine light and battery light to come on. Anyway a new transmission was put in the car and I was given the car back. The car was in the dealer service shop for a week. Now less than a week later the car is doing it again, powering down while driving, then engine light and battery light comes on. This is a safety risk!!! I have a child I fear for our life. I reported this to consumer affairs, bbb, the potamkin Hyundai dealership where I bought the car, Hyundai customer service, nhsta and anyone who would listen!. All I get is the run around, well, this is going to bethe second time the car is going to be serviced for this safety risk.
1) 6/8/when I stopped at a traffic light, the battery light came on and the car stalled. After I turned it off and turned it on again, the problem disappeared. 2) 7/27/a similar situation recurred, again after stopping at a traffic light. This time multiple warning lights came on, including engine oil pressure, parking brake/brake fluid and something else. The car stalled again. And again after turning it off and on the problem disappeared and then I could drive. 3) 9/24/I was driving at the speed of 60 mph. Suddenly multiple warning lights came on and I was afraid that the car can stall. Fortunately, it didn't happen. The lights stayed there for a few seconds and then disappeared. But another weird effect occurred: trip a miles, which was about 50, reset and started from 0. Most likely it is a computer malfunction. With this issue the car is unpredictable, unreliable and dangerous.
I bought my Hyundai around March or April 2015. After about a month I noticed that the esc was coming on and off. While visiting family in fishers indiana in August I noticed that not only was the esc coming but also all the other warning lights I. E. Abs, air bag, parking brake and eps. On August 17 I took my car to the noblesville Hyundai dealer. On the 18th I was told that the problem was a negative component not grounded and was fixed. About 1. 5 weeks later the problem returned plus now the low tire pressure warning light was coming on. On the 31st of August I went back to the dealer explaining that the problem had returned. As of September 2 they still have not determined what the problem is. Picked up my car on September 3rd and was told that since they couldn't get the car to act up there was nothing they could do so I took my car. I'll just have to see if and when the problem occurs again then take it straight back to dealer.

Got car in 2011 in 2015 it stopped working after making loud noises that began with a chirp, found out it was alternator and battery. Had to borrow to fix it it was 700. 00 +. 14 months later it did it again, the shop guy was so angry he contacted his parts guy and got another alternator, I had the car towed to joseph's garage and they installed the second alernator! now its doing it again!!!! I cannot keep doing this. Going to ftc, bbb, and attorney general. Also federal consumer protection.
I bought my car in Feb 2014, since that the electronic stability control (esc) indicator has come on several times while driving. When the esc is on, the other indicators air bag warning light, abs, parking brake & brake fluid warning light, low tire pressure telltale and electronic power steering (eps) indicator will also take turns to come on for a while and then off for a few seconds then back on again. After I restart, esc light will stay on and the other lights take turns to on and off. This will last several days and then back to normal. The worst thing happened on June, 2015, after the lights have been on and off the day before, the electronic power steering was lost when I started my car. Air bag warning light, abs, parking brake & brake fluid warning light and eps were all on. I was totally in shock by what had happened since I basically could not back out from the parking lot with the stiff steering. I restarted several times and could not work out. When I finally got to dealer, the technician turned on the car, everything was normal. They tried to get a code for me but no code showed any malfunction. Since then, I was driving in afraid that this may happen again at any time and I may lose control and cause an accident.
Driving, all road conditions the car drifts left or right and the steering wheel feels like it hits a stop point and correction has to be made constantly. Dealer gave me another 2013 elantra to test drive and it drove well without the problems of my car. And it had more milage than mine.
I was driving to get on xpressway going thirty five miles an hour all at once I had no gas pebble there was nothing lucky I could pull over on the side all I has was a break if I had got on the enterstate with cars traveling 70 and 80 miles hour I would have been dead with two small kids in the car because the car gas p was going I got a tow to take my car in and they say the throttle cable had broken , I have never has or heard of this happen the car I trade in was sixteen years old toyata had over four hundred thousands miles on it and all was wrong with it was the air the dealer say they never had a car come there with thoses many miles and still running great it would have cost more to replace the air than the car was worth and we trade it in for a lemon this car has given us problems first all three cols with out no power please check into this matter before someonedies , I did research and no one has ever heard of the cable breaking on a car . I was driving down the street to my sister house, when I got to her house I pulled up behind her car approximately 10 to 15 ft. On the curb and on the street, I stopped the car, put in in park while still running, when I touched the switch to turn the car off, the gas pedal went to the floor and the car ran into the car in front of me not ejecting the seat belt.
2011 Hyundai Accent has a software problem with the coils/spark plugs. I have had all of them replaced, yet the car still senses a misfire in its computer. My mechanic looked it up and found out there was a recall for this year and make, but when I called Hyundai they denied a recall ever being issued. This will be the last Hyundai I ever purchase.
