Vehicle brake lights dim when headlights are off. Also, high mounted center brake light does not illuminate during braking when headlights are off. The center brake light briefly lights for a 1/2 second, then shuts off. This can be dangerous particularly in daytime driving, if headlights are not on full or in automatic setting.
