2 Car Accelerates On Its Own problem

The contact 2007 Hyundai Azera. While driving approximately 35 mph the vehicle suddenly accelerated on its own. The contact was able to depress the brake pedal, place the gear shift in neutral and pull onto the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The technicians stated the floor mat was jammed under the accelerator pedal causing the failure and that the engine needed to be replaced. The failure occurred twice. The vehicle was not repaired.
