My 2013 Hyundai Azera engine failed may 19, 2019 as I was driving on the highway, my car insurance denied my claim due to findings of a manufactures/mechanical default and Hyundai refused to fix it stating it was out of warranty and that I had to pay out of pocket, if and wheni get it towed there. On October 2020, Hyundai received my car by tow and said that they could rebuild an engine and put it in at a cost to me. The rebuilt engine was put in Jan 2020 and failed at the dealership as the tested in February 2020 I picked my car up and the engine failed a week later as I was driving on the highway again. Chp impounded my car and Hyundai refused to get it out. I payed the fee. March 2020 Hyundai rebuilt another engine and put it in and I am having issues and concerns of my safety and Hyundai refused to address releasing the car to me with, airbag light on, horn doesn't work nothing on the steering column works, front light falls back into car,and now the back camera broken windshield wipers/fluid doesn't come out, hood of car lifted up on rights side ,panorama roof continues to get stuck, I asked them to repair all these things and to check my cars engine on yesterday April 2020 and management and corporate they refused and ive been having car issues starting the month after I bought the car, like the airbag issue.
Car was parked overnight in my driveway. The next morning I got up, started my car and now the air bag light is on. Dealer says I need a new clockspring. My car has 53000 miles. No accidents, oil changes every 3000 miles. How does this happen. Its clearly a manufacturing problem with Hyundai.
Steering wheel: the steering wheel shakes vigorously when driving on the highway going past 60. Also, big clunking sound when turning the wheel. Feels like steering wheel will fall off. Had a similar issue with my sonata. There was a recall on the sonata on this to replace the steering coupling. Airbag light stays same issue as my sonata, however there is no recall on the Azera. This is clearly issues with lot of Hyundai's. This needs anew clock spring assembly/spiral cable. If these are same issues on a sonata then there should of been a recall on the Azera as well. Not lot of people talk time to fill this out and report this. I guess a tragic accident needs to occur for Hyundai to act.
When I crank up my 2013 Hyundai Azera the airbag light came on. I waited and the light never went out. Had my car scanned and it stated the error is the clock spring in the steering wheel. I feel as if my safety is compromised if the air bag isn't working properly. I keep all maintenance up on my vehicle but this is out of my control.
As of 7/26/19 my airbag light came on when I started my car it was still overnight and hasn't gone off I took it to nalley Hyundai in lithonia g. A 8/12/19 where I was told theirs no recall but the clock screw needs to be replaced and my steering column to fix the click in the steering wheel and was then given an estimate I feel this is a faulty item that is conducive to my safety and I shouldn't have to pay for it.

At approximately 40k miles the air bag warning indicator came on while there was a child passenger in the front seat. It only came on when my 15 year old would sit there and we were moving. I brought it to the dealer and the fault was reset. The dealer stated if it reoccured they would order a new sensor. It did reoccur this time while traveling on the highway with a 160 lb. 5'5 man in the passenger seat, and the dealer was notified. I was told that when the part came in they would call. The dealer never called. Due to lack of time on my part I did not follow up for two years and the light was on the entire time. When I did go back the dealer started that was to long ago and now the part is no longer under warranty despite being documented as bad while it was still under warranty. Now while searching for a part online I found that this is a known issue and the was a recall for this. Why don't the dealer fix it?.
