50 mph dry, clear and straight road, right rear control arm broke causing the rear wheel to become detached from the car and causing the car to careen into oncoming lane before correcting and landing in the right-hand ditch. Could have been a disaster and only by grace was this not a disaster for me and an unknown oncoming car. Event was witnessed by people in 2 other cars and they both stopped and gave their names.
Both the tire sensor and passenger air bag has come on. Air bag stays on even when no one is in seat. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
Tl the contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Azera. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v354000 (suspension). While driving various speeds, the vehicle wobbled when making turns. The contact noticed that the rear driver's side wheel was protruding from the wheel well. The vehicle was towed to her home. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 121,000.
After my abs system was activated after sliding straight on snow and ice on a side road (my speed was less than 15 mph prior to braking), I heard a grinding noise. Shortly afterward, I could smell burnt rubber. I investigated my front right tire and noticed that a huge groove was scraped into the sidewall of the tire (on the back side of the wheel). The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership and they confirmed that the coil spring had broken in two places and was tearing into the back side of my tire. It almost tore all the way through the sidewall of the tire. If I had kept driving it unaware of the danger, it would have cut my tire in half and cause me to lose control of my vehicle and I do a lot of interstate driving.
Steering wheel has a popping sound either set park or drive. , vehicle also drift to the right and a vibration in high way speeds.
Tire pressure monitoring system, there are frequently error codes reappearing with related relation to this vital safety feature. While the car is still under warranty the dealership has attempted to repair the issue several times, and yet the era code still reappear. They are unwilling to repair the tpms error light that continues to appear. It seems that this is a defect in the cars tmps system.
Valve stem broke while I was checking air pressure. Very poor quality and it is expensive and hard to find aftermarket (unable to get reset at discount tire or dealership).
Walking past our vehicle I noticed that my left front tire had a separation between the side wall and thread I thought it was just road damage, but upon further investigation I see the same problem on two other tires(michelin energy mvx4+ p235/55 r17). On various web sites I see this is a common problem with these tires but there is no product recall at this time. This is a very dangerous problem that should be addressed. I would also like to know how to deal with this as I know I have to purchase new tires after only 18,210 miles. Thank you.
In my earlier complaint I inadvertantly transposed the tire description which should be michelin energy mxv4+ and not michelin mvx4+ energy. Regarding sidewall/tread separation. Thank you.
Wheels started peeling. Date is a guess, it could have been novemer of 2014.
Driving vehicle aprroximately 30 mph when left rear wheel assembly separated from rear cross member suspension causing the vehicle to sway out of control. Vehicle came to a stop with left rear wheel at a 25 degree angle. Safety recall identified by dealer. . .
The rear wheels are rusting on my 2007 Hyundai Azera limited. I have been reading that there is a recall regarding that same year, but have been told that my vehicle doesn't qualify. Apparently, they are recalling those in the rust belt. My vehicle has never been driven in the snow. I live in scottsdale arizona. This car has never had road salt on it. What can I do about this problem. ? the dealer says I would have to pay to correct it. I have read that it can be hazardous.
At that time the accident occured, my wife took my daughter to school by my car. According to my wife, when she almost parked the car in parking lot of school, suddenly the car began to be accelerated without pushing accelerate pedal. She pushed the brake pedal continuously, but it never worked. Car turned right with full speed, and crashed into a tree behind the car and stopped. In crash, right side airbag burst out and front right side of my car was fully break up. My wife and my daughter were so shocked and frightened. For a while they can't do anything and my wife will not be able to drive any more.
