Moonroof- I opened my moonroof and when I tried to close it, the sunshade would not retract - it is hanging - causing me not to be able to see the back window when looking through my rear view mirror. I brought to a body shop and they said it is a design flaw. Now they want $1,800 to fix it!.

I was driving down the interstate about 11 a. M. On Sunday, June 19 (overcast, some rain on and off, stop and go traffic, so I was probably going about 30 or 35 mph) when I heard a loud pop, like someone popping a paper lunch bag. Didn't know what it was so a couple mins later I heard wind. All windows were up, so I opened the shade covering the panoramic moon roof, and that's when I saw the huge hole in the front piece of glass. This is the one that moves when you open it. There was nothing inside (like a rock or lug nut etc) to indicate something hit it. There was no previous damage to the roof. I had to pay a $500 deductible to get it fixed, so if this is a glass defect then I should get my money back.

Rear sunshade stuck mid-way through cycle. Position of thick retaining plastic severely obstructs driver's view. Button unresponsive, but can hear motor grinding whenever putting car in reverse (rear sunshade does not move and stuck in this position). Furthermore, once parked and off the road, no amount of manual force retracts the sunshade into its retracted position. Driver must continue driving in this precarious and limited-view scenario.

The rain sensing wipers do not continue to operate after the initial wipe before the windshield becomes so clouded with water that clear road vision is seriously impaired. This has been reported to two different Hyundai service facilities. They test the equipment by turning a hose on the windshield. This does not simulate actual rain conditions. The latest occurrence of this malfunction was on July 22,2009.
