The contact owns a 2000 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed, there was an abnormal odor entering the cabin of the vehicle, causing the contact to be nauseated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that there was no cabin air filter installed in the vehicle. The cabin air filter was not replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was 19,000.
2000 Hyundai Elantra - new------------7/05 w/ 17,923 mileage on the car. I needed to replace the motor on the pass. Front window & both back windows. It is now 12/07 and I need to replace the same motors in all 3 windows , my car now has 29,420 mileage on the car. The window that I would use the most is the drivers front , is just fine.
Consumer states that while driving at any speed and with no warning vehicle will shut off, causing consumer to pull over and it will be hard to get the vehicle back started. Dealer notified.
While foot on the brake pedal to stop, vehicle bucked or surged forward before I could reach park to turn off the car. Notice smoke coming out of the right side of the hood.
