Upon having my vehicle repaired for an illuminated "check engine" light, my mechanic discovered that my rear struts were leaking due to a manufacturing defect. My car has 28,000 miles on it. It was apparent to him that they had been leaking for a while, although this would be an undetectable problem to myself, the driver.
