The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated that the shift lock became jammed and the vehicle would not shift out of park gear. In order to shift the vehicle out of park, the contact had to release the shift lock button with a screw driver. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to have the failure diagnosed or repaired. The contact also stated that the brake lights were not functioning.
