1 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/14/2025

Hat component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? the amplifier how was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? the amp controls the noises for blind spot sensors, rear cross traffic alerts and all the sound in the vehicle. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? it has been inspected by the dealership at germain Hyundai of columbus and is currently being repaired. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? no. The sound just went out without warning.

2 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2025

The vehicle has less than 2,000 miles on it being a 2024 model (hybrid limited) and on more than 2 occasions without warning the car will be dead while parked. No accessories left plugged in to cause drainage, no warning from the myhyundai bluelink app, and the dealers are completely clueless. The vehicle gets driven every day, and in order to "fix" the issue temporarily, I have to unlock the car manually using the physical key, and press the 12v reset button. That wont last long before the backup battery dies too.

3 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 07/31/2025

When you accelerate & let off the gas pedal, the vehicle still accelerated for 2 seconds after you release the gas pedal. It is like there is a delay with drive by wire signal. This situation can cause rear end collisions & hard panic braking. Please recall this situation to prevent higher insurance cost & increased accidents!.

4 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2025

This is a repeat incident. While driving, the speedometer stops working, tachometer, all of the collision warning systems start going through a self test, the check engine light comes on, and most concerning is the power steering. It becomes heavy, as if it is working at half power. The dealer kept the car for over a week recently, and they said that they were unable to duplicate the issue. It happened again while I was on a road trip , and I stopped by five star Hyundai in albany GA. The service advisor was aware of similar issues have occurred on Hyundai's, but that they were too busy to look at it. She wouldn't even come out of the building to look at the car and wasn't interested in looking at my video. I tried to upload video to this form, but was unable to do so.

5 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 05/29/2025

Rear camera suddenly stopped working while reversing. Happened approximately at 19,000 miles. Don't know the cause but seems like a safety issue since rear view cameras are federally mandated. The usual camera view is now replaced by green error screen that says "no signal received. Please try again later".

6 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 04/15/2025

1- horn. 2- was not able to warn other driver of improper lane change. Was not able to warn driver backing out of parking space almost causing accident. 3- yes, by dealer. 4- yes, by dealer. 5-no warning. Horn just stops working. Appeared at first 5k miles. Note: this is a common complaint in Hyundai forums for many years.

7 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/20/2025

The horn stopped working in our 2024 Elantra. This is a widespread issue (see NHTSA complaints and reddit posts). I called ahead to verify with the san leandro dealership that parts were in stock to perform this repair under warranty (prior to scheduling appointment). We arrived and were told that parts were actually not available (after a 3-hour diagnostic). What changed? Hyundai issued a TSB (technical service bulletin) informing dealerships of how this issue is to be repaired (designating a specific part number, while excluding otherwise qualified Hyundai parts). Without TSB, the dealership could have performed this repair under warranty with the in-stock parts. The dealership could still perform the repair, but Hyundai would not reimburse them under warranty. With a[xxx] wife, I was unable to wait and return later for the warranty to cover the repair. I paid $429 to the dealership for the repair to be done with in-stock parts. I left the dealership with a genuine & working Hyundai horn, but it was not covered by Hyundai’s warranty. Hyundai has refused to reimburse us. Two key takeaways: 1 - Hyundai is denying there is a widespread issue while secretly telling dealerships how to address it. The unpublished TSB demonstrates that Hyundai is aware of a widespread safety issue, and is failing to issue a recall. The majority of nhsta complaints for this vehicle reference horn failure. This is a safety issue. I was involved in an accident where I could not warn another driver before the collision. 2 - the TSB is a mechanism by which Hyundai is refusing to perform repairs that should be covered by warranty. This is a violation of Hyundai’s stated commitment to customers that is not stated even in the fine print of the warranty. 8 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 01/22/2025

At approx 1000 the horn fuse blew and rendered horn inoperable. Fuse was replaced by dealer. At approx 1500 miles horn was inoperable again, dealer recommended horn replacement however the horns are currently on back order. In both cases, no lamps or messages were available in the car indicating the horn was inoperable.

9 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 11/14/2024

We lease 5 Hyundai 2024 Elantra blue hybrids that were bought new a few months back. We have experienced the same issues with 3 of the 5 so far. Cars will stall at low speeds and sometimes engine light goes on. Cars will suddenly not accelerate after stopping at a stop sign. Extreme danger for our drivers who are transporting developmentally disabled clients to outings and shopping, etc. Hyundai replaced throttle body replacement but same issues reappeared 2 days after getting car back. Now, Hyundai is claiming the gps units plugged in may be causing this, but other 2 are not experiencing this issue (2 of 5). They refuse to work on further unless gps units are out, but customer needs gps units per insurance. So we need help from Hyundai in dealing with the dealer zimbrick east of madison, WI. We need the vehicles, but don't want our employees at risk.

10 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 10/21/2024

Horn is not working. After I hit 10k miles it suddenly no longer has worked, I am currently at 34250k miles and received a recall letter from Hyundai themselves in case of any issues with the car but I don't have the paper. I went to dealer one time to give it a look but they were not working with me and treated me disrespectful so I gave up and been driving with no horn in car.

11 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2024

Horn stopped working! I bought the car in January of 2024 brand new off the lot in June my horn just stopped working the fuse was blown so it was replaced and within 2 months the horn went out again I contacted the dealership and horn replacement was ordered finally came in and changed out in November not sure why my horn went out but I need my horn I was almost hit 3 different times and a horn would have let the other driver know I was there so too close for my comfort!!.

12 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/16/2024

I received two emails from Hyundai bluelink that "vehicle battery level is below normal" late night 16 March 2024 shortly before midnight and several hours after I had parked my vehicle for the night. The car is less than two weeks old with less than 300 miles. After each email notice I checked my car and could not see any device or process which was drawing electrical power. By 10 am the next morning all electrical power to the car was gone and I needed a towing service to jump start my car. It appears the car battery spontaneously drained all its power through the night.

13 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 03/06/2024

Dash lights come on randomly while driving it disables all safety features, engine ticking , randomly my driver side window goes down.
