The incident is liquid that dripped into the emergency brake causing wires to melt for the airbag system. The cup holders are located directly beside the emergency brake. The emergency brake housing, contains the wiring harness for the vehicle. There is no sort of protective device to keep liquids from getting on the wiring. What happened in my instance is that liquid must have dripped off of a cup in the cupholder, not sure how condensation off of a cup, could cause insulated wires to melt, but it dripped into the console area and melted the air bag wiring harness. It requires a complete replacement of the harness. Warranty not covered because it is not a part defect. Safety hazard because it can cause a fire if not fixed. Should have a protective cover in the event of something like this occurring.

For the past 2 weeks I have noticed a problem with the emergency brakes. Now 2 days ago while on a hill and in park I had the emergency brakes on and the car started rolling with me in it before I even got out of the car. Back in August I told my dealer the car was rolling backwards when I would park on a hill and they checked it out and it stopped doing this, but they said they found nothing wrong. Now it is getting more serious.
The calipers on the rear brake do not release when the parking brake is released inside the passenger cabin. In some cases the brake was on so tight that the right rear wheel dragged on the road. I had the vehicle back to the dealer 6 times but they were unable to get the issue corrected. The issue is much worse in the winter but even now in the spring when I put the brake on there is no resistance for the first 4 inches so I know it is still not operating properly.

Car continues to overheat. This is the fourth time it has happened; sometime the problem can not be duplicated and I am sent on my way even though it has happen before. The cylinder heads, water pump, thermostat, sensor and many others are only a few of the things that have been replaced on this problem. The car shuts-off without warning, and drives like a desiel engine (rough), you almost have to floor it to make the car stop and the dealer says it is normal; even though I hit another car going about 5mph because the car jerked foward and smashed my hood (I hit a Ford:excrussion so he had no damage) and the transmission does not shift correctly. Sure the dealer ship tries to fix the problem but there have been times I have been out of my car for a long as 7 to 8 weeks and many times there don't even know whats wrong. I have tried to contact rick case the dearlership owner and I never reiceve a call or email.
