I just purchased a used 2015 Genesis 3. 8 sedan and the bsd warning system intermittently comes on after driving at highway speed for less than an hour. It is unable to be reset and requires you to turn off the vehicle for the speed and proper indicators on the dash to be functional. This is a clearly a known manufacturer defect with all the threads being posted about the problem. The dealer is unable to replicate the problem, it requires highway driving of 30 minutes to an hour and has happened with the cruise set. It is not weather related, the car is pristine and clean and does not come on or is triggered by other vehicles. Due to not being able to see your status and other information on the dash until you pull off the road to turn the vehicle off this poses a serious safety threat when traveling at highway speed and not having your instruments to detect proper system performance. It is also not always safe/reasonable and convenient to pull off and turn the car off to reset the system only to have it come back on within the hour.
While driving the following codes would flash: aeb, bsm, tpms, also while the aeb code would flash it would limit my acceleration weather on the highway or local driving. These issues were reported to Hyundai America corporate and I have a active complaint as well as a open appointment with a local dealership on 1. 4. 22. Lastly I do have a video of this taking place.
Blind spot warning system is not operating. After having it checked and fixed, the warning is back after threw days. Looks like this is a well known issue that Hyundai does not want to repair or make better. After driving from a road trip on the interstate/highway, once I arrived to my destination, the bsd warning was displayed. No damage, and no collision.
