Parking Brake problem #1

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated that after engaging the parking brake, the wheels would intermittently lock-up while driving at various speeds, without warning. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer where he was informed that the entire electrical parking brake system needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and offered to partially pay for a loaner vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated that the electronic braking system (ebs) warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that he attempted to activate the parking brake however, the parking brake failed to engage. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be diagnosed and was informed that the electronic parking brake (epb) module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 23,763.

~tl the contact owns a 2012 Hyundai Genesis. While the contact was attempting to place the vehicle in drive and release the parking brake, the vehicle made a loud abnormal noise. The vehicle was towed to where the contact was informed that the motor for the electronic parking brake needed to be replaced and the brakes were faulty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 129,000.

My vehicle was parked in a parking spot on a slight incline with theparking break engaged and the stick left in 1st gear. My vehicle then rolled <12 inches into the vehicle parked in front of it.
