Wheel problem #1

I visited mission hills Hyundai located at 10240 sepulveda bl, mission hills CA 91345 on Jul 31, 2024 for recall after appointment. I waited 2 & half hour, and Hyundai told me the recall service completed but not done. It was perfectly lying. Hyundai explained my car's break disc has problem and cut it and then put together, but only done for resurface. They charged $824 as a labor. Please confirm them and recall service was not doing even Hyundai sent recall service letters many times. Hyundai service is not good. Thank you.

Wheel problem #2

While driving on the highway at 65mph the driver front tire wables, the tires feel unsafe and not stable. When going over long road cracks on the highway the whole car wabbles and if I dont grab the stearing wheel really hard to not loose control of the vehicle. The esc light its always on so I know the traction or stability control is not working properly, also the tpm light is also not working because its always been on since purchased the car.

Wheel problem #3

Hyundai installed a defective wheel on my 2014 Genesis 4 dr sedan at the factory knowing it was defective but; but because the wheel balanced, they hid it from the buyer. Defect discovered at the first replacement of tires about Sep 9 2019. Defect a 3 " smooth, symertical, concentric bulge in the rim . Dealer, Hyundaia, refused to replace the rim.

Wheel problem #4

The front end of the vehicle is unstable due to constant vibration which is felt in the front drivers seat and steering wheel. The vibration causes the tires on the front end to wear prematurely, which could lead to blowouts.

Wheel problem #5

Hyundai is telling me the problem with tire tread wear is a problem with the tire manufacturer. The tire manufacturer is telling me the problem is with a design of the 2015 Genesis sedans suspension. Inside rear tire wear is extreme, and had I not complained about vibration and cabin sound, ultimately seeking professional help in seeing the wear at a tire company, we might have very easily lost our lives. Look at 2015 Hyundai Genesis blowouts / saudi arabia. Many, many posts on-line about this tire wear happening here in the u. S. Our michelin tires are warranted to 45 k miles, we were advised by our cars dealer (Hyundai of evansville) to replace and align the 4 wheels, at a large cost, this is at 22,914 miles ! raben tire, a michelin dealer, here in evansville tells me the car may very well have a suspension-alignment problem. It will cost us over $1000. 00 to be safe for a while with tire replacement and alignment. Hyundai will not even give us the satisfaction of a return call. It is a blatant case of david vs goliath ! extreme cabin sound @ 45 to 50 mph, as well as seat and steering wheel vibration while in motion, up through highway speeds.

Wheel problem #6

Continental tires are cheap and prone to blowouts and sidewall bubbles. I got one bubble and dealer said it is a known problem with these tires.

Wheel problem #7

I have experienced 4 front tire failures with the continental procontact TX tires that are oem on the 2018 Genesis g80 sport. All failures have been at highway speed with 2 complete sidewall failures and 2 blowouts. In each instance I had no warning and had to carefully move to the right shoulder. I have been driving over 40 years and have only experienced one other blowout. With this vehicle/tire combination I have had 4 blowouts in 90 days. The car has 5,600 miles on it. These tires are unsafe and should be recalled.

Wheel problem #8

Loss of air from tires. Sidewall cracking with complete shredding of tire surface leading to emergent stop while driving on highway.

Wheel problem #9

Brand new trailer. Valve stems in tires rated at max 80psi. Tires and dot label both require tires to be inflated to 110psi cold. Valve stem failed causing tire to rapidly deflate causing tire to shred and catch on fire on the freeway. Trailer began to sway uncontrollably almost causing an accident.

Wheel problem #10

In 2016 I bought a 2015 Hyundai Genesis with continental pro contact. This was a new car with 1,565 miles on it. In less than a year I notice the side wall on the front tire had a bulge in it. The dealer would not replace the tire for free but offered a discount on another tire. I took the car in today for service and they found a bulge in the side wall of the rear tire. The first tire only had 14,466 miles I'm currently at 21,711 miles. I'm going to replace them all but think they should be recalled. Oh and when checked the dot # ,three of the tire did not have the four digit date. Only one had the whole number affe wc85 2115.

Wheel problem #11

I took my car to dealer due to excessive noise in front of car when driving. I thought it was a wheel bearing noise. Deal,er says noise is due to tire wear. Car only has 40,700 miles and there was a recall at around 12,000 miles when Hyundai replaced all four tires with michelin tires "due to complaints of excessive road noise". My car has been regularly serviced at Hyundai dealers. I told the dealer that it was impossible for michelin tires to wear out in less than 28,000 miles. I believe the car has a suspension design problem. The dealer refused to do anything about it. I called the Hyundai factory line (dealer gave me phone number). Factory rep told me I would be contacted within a week by factory regional manager. I have not been contacted yet. I believe the car has a suspension geometry or design problem in the front end of car. No new car with less than 28,000 miles should wear out a set of tires unless something is wrong with the design or geometry. The fact that Hyundai recalled the car when new (only 12,000 miles) to replace the tires tells me they know something is wrong.

Wheel problem #12

Bought new in July 2012. Car has around 46k on it. I have had to replace 2 of the 4 michelin energy saver a/s tires because of cracking in the sidewalls. Both had chunks missing and the cracking/rot was spreading. I drove on them for months like that, luckily without incident. I bought a pair used to replace them so I could get full wear out of the remaining too, but I am wary of buying michelins for my next set.

Wheel problem #13

The tmps light will not go off. West broad Hyundai dealership in richmond, va. Wants to charge me to fix the problem but not knowing why it's happening. They have reset it bu tit keeps coming back on.

Wheel problem #14

Tires-michelin energy saver a/s size: p235/50r18 on the front passenger side. The tire has a 5" deep crack on the outside wall of the tire and also several other noticeable cracks throughout the tire especially on the outer wall.

Wheel problem #15

My tire pressure indicator was on yesterday morning so I put air in my driver side rear tire, however this morning I notice it need more air again, therefore I took the car to sams auto service and after inspection the gentleman told me the tire cannot be repair because it is worn on the inside trim of the tire and its not due to normal wear and tear, states he has never seen a tire in this condition because the rest of the tire has good thread wear and appears good if your looking from the other side of the tire. Strongly feels its a manufacturing defect, I called the dealer where I purchased my car a year ago and im gonna take it in tommorrow and pray they will replace it at there expense expecially since I have put only 28,000 miles on the tires. . . .

Wheel problem #16

The current tires were replaced in September 2015, I have had three instances of tires blowing out the sidewall and a total of 7 tires replaced in less then 10k miles.

Wheel problem #17

Today my wife was driving our Genesis and was almost in a accident because of campaign138 "cracks in the sidewall". I've been complaining for the past two months with 2 superiors and 1 case manager. There has not been any resolutions or since of agency.

Wheel problem #18

The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated that the recall associated with NHTSA campaign number: 15v864000 (tires) required the dealer to reprogram the tire limiter. The tire limiter would need to be reprogrammed in order to replace the factory tires; however, the repair would reduce the speed from 149 mph to 130 mph. The contact was displeased with the reduction of the speed limiter requirement, which was not mentioned as a part of the recall remedy. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Wheel problem #19

After 25,000 miles tire treads were separating on the inside edge of all four tires. These were original factory-installed hankook ventus noble s2 tires. Hyundai has a recall in place due to the possibility of vibration, but the recall makes no mention of safety issues or tire failure. The issue was found when dealer was rotating tires on normal schedule.

Wheel problem #20

Roaring at high speed. Took vehicle into dealer. Cupping found on all four tires. Salesman called dunlop. Told dunlop that the tires didn't have but 14,100 miles on them. The car was bought brand new. Dunlop prorated all four tires and replaced them. Owner paid $271. 20 for prorated tires. Owner feels that these tires should have been a recall since all four tires went bad at the same time with 14,100 miles on a new car. The tires are dunlop sport 5000, p225/55r17, 95h, m+s standard load. The only documentation is from the dealer where they replaced all four tires. Dunlop customer service case #8432322. Approval code a496208.

Wheel problem #21

Earlier this year Hyundai issued a letter to Genesis owners stating they were replacing the hankook tires that came on the car from the factory with michelin tires because customers had complained of raod noise. I contacted the delaership, west broad Hyundai, richmond, va, to order my replacement tires. I took my car to the dealership on Aug 29 for the state inspection and an oil change, they stated they did not have staff on hand on saturdays to change the tires. During the state inspection the mechanic discovered the tread on my left rear tire had separated from the tire. The right rear tire looked as if it was about to separate. Since my tires were in they dedicated a mechanic to replacing my tires. My car was purchased new, the tires have 25515 miles on them and the car has not been modified in any manner. I fear there is a major problem with this model tire and hankook should be made aware immediately. I have photographs of the tires. The tire looks perfect from the outside wall but the wall that faces under the car the defect is very noticeable.

Wheel problem #22

My Genesis was involved in a tire recall (campaign 218). A couple days later, as soon as I got the car on the freeway to go out of town on a business trip, my car started shaking severely. I called blue link (Hyundai customer service) and they said to take it to patterson Hyundai at my destination. I drive to wichita falls as slowly and safel as I can and I took the car in today but they refused to fix it. They said because its related to the recall they cannot fix it. I have to wait minimum 3-5 days for them to escalate it to the national level and I can't drive my car. I have to be driving home on Sunday (2 days from now). I talked to curtis (floor leader for Genesis team) and said "I can't drive my car for 3-5 days?" and he said "yes. " and I asked if I could get a rental then and he said they won't give me a rental. This is at best unethical. I have to be home by Monday, so they are forcing me to drive a potentially unsafe car home 3. 5 hours because they won't correct a problem with their warranty work.

Wheel problem #23

The rear tires wear incredibly quick 60,000 mile tires in 11,000 50,000 mile tires in 19,000 cheap tires even quicker. I took the car into Hyundai for them to take a look at it and the said everything was fine with the car. Everything checked out the alignment was fine. I took the car to my mechanic he said the alignment was fine but there has to be something wrong with the car for this to happen. He said he would have to take the rear end off the car to find out where the problem is. I called Hyundai and they asked me to go to another dealership and have them look at it which I did and they said nothing was wrong with the car and charged me $134. 70 when Hyundai themselves asked me to take it to them . There is definitely something wrong and Hyundai keeps trying to blame the tires. This is a severe safety hazard . After the first set wore down I thought it was the tires. Put on michelin pilot a/3 a very good tire was coming home on the highway it started raining and I went sideways. Luckily I caught it in time and straightened the car out. I had no idea why this happened until I got home driving extremely slow in the right lane to find I had no tread after 11,000 miles on the michelin's. The car has less than 40,000 miles and this will be the 4th set of rear tires.

Wheel problem #24

Purchased car new with dunlop sp sport 5000m tire size 225/55/17 95h. At 40mph and higher, start hearing a wobble/deep growling noise. Took to dealer and was told the tires are cupped / not worn evenly. The tires have been rotated with each oil change and the car has not been in a accident. Was told I needed new tires, of course there are not under any warranty.

Wheel problem #25

"I was subjected to a sudden acceleration last night while driving my 2009 Hyundai Genesis 4. 6. I left a full stop and sighted another car speeding toward a stop sign coming from my left. To avoid being broadsided I swerved to avoid and my accelerator jammed. I sped across the street and into a landscaped area. I hit a tree at that point which brought my vehicle to a stop. The driver side air bag deployed and I was wearing a seat belt. I sustained some impact injuries that appear to be of a minor nature. A lake was located just beyond the tree and I deliberately selected the medium size tree as a target. I was fortunate. I sustained a back injury some years ago and drive with two feet - one for the accelerator and one for the brake. There was therefore no chance that my foot slipped from one pedal to the other. Ref: Hyundai Genesis 4. 6 2009.

Wheel problem #26

Simply put, my Hyundai Genesis is extremely susceptible to total and sudden tire failure. I have had the car for about 7 months and have had 6 tires blowout, even without hitting any potholes. The last time this happened, I had a tire side wall blowout as I left my driveway ,driving at a slow speed. I had it changed the next morning and within hours, another tire blew while I was driving at about 60 mile per hour on the NJ garden state parkway, without hitting any road imperfections or potholes at all. It seems that the low profile tires are simply not up to simple , normal day to day driving. I am aware that many other Genesis and equus owners have suffered the same, many times over, yet Hyundai refuses to recognize the problem, blaming the tire manufacturers, even though this happened to me with 3 different brands and even to tires designed to run flat! I don't need to elaborate on the hazard created by tiers that blow out all the time especially when driving at highway speeds on congested roadways. I was lucky that I managed to avoid getting hit on the last incident by the hundred of cars passing by at over 60 miles per hour.

Wheel problem #27

On January 11th 2014, I purchased a brand new 2013 Hyundai Genesis from brown's manassas Hyundai in 8651 centerville road, manassas, va 20110. On my invoice it was stated that it is a brand new car. Two months after I purchased the car, I had a sensor problem, which I got fixed in fairfax Hyundai which is very unusual for a brand new car. On 10th April, I heard grinding noise from the rear right tire. I took it to other Hyundai again. Below is the report that they gave me and I was stunned. "technician found that the rear right strut had snap from bold on frame, one bold missing prior and also found green duct tape that was holding the strut to the car. Customer advised vehicle is unsafe to drive. If vehicle is driven there is a high possibility of the strut falling off which is very dangerous and an accident will result. " there was a green duct tape supporting the car. After this report, for me it is proved that this car might have been in a major accident before I purchased it and the issue has been fixed without reporting it. Even the mechanic who showed me the problem with the car was shocked. After I got the report, I took it to brown's Hyundai manassas and talked with service manager, he totally ignored me. Other sales associates told me they are unknown with this issue and they cannot do anything further to help me. I was very disappointed with the disloyal behavior from a Hyundai employee. As mechanic said, I could have got into a major accident. My concern is my family. I have a two-year-old niece who travels with me often in the car. I am also concerned they might have been doing this behavior to other consumer as well and putting life in danger. My car is still in the fairfax Hyundai dealership.

Wheel problem #28

The contact owns a 2012 Hyundai Genesis. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for an unrelated problem when the technician detected that the rear passenger's side wheel rim was severely bent. Also, the rear driver's side rim was slightly damaged. The failure was contributed to the light metal materials used to design the rims. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.

Wheel problem #29

The vehicle was hit in the right rear quarter and then in the front, completely demolishing the front body work. Only the passenger side window curtain airbag deployed, likely due to the initial right rear side impact. The sole occupant (driver) was not protected and was injured (cracked pelvis, cracked orbital bone, nose injury) because the steering wheel airbag system failed to deploy. The manufacturer was provided with photographic evidence showing the above, but has declined to address the issue because "we attempted to inspect your vehicle and believed that an inspection would have confirmed the proper operation of the vehicle's airbag system. " the car was scrapped already and not available for inspection. Photos provided to the manufacturer (and available to you) demonstrate clearly that the front bumper assembly bodywork was completely ripped off the car, yet the driver airbag did not deploy. That would seem to indicate a catastrophic failure of that intended safety feature. The manufacturer's assertion about confirmation of proper airbag system operation is not credible in view of the facts. Please research the information and make sure that other drivers are not victimized by inadequate safety engineering.

Wheel problem #30

Tire wear uneven, right front passenger worst. Constant severe pull to the right able to change lanes to right without hands on steering wheel. And very minimal pull to left at times while driving on highway (most notable) and city streets. While driving feels like car bottoms out over bumps/holes or on city streets/highways with rough road since purchased in 2012. Cannot adjust alignment on right side, right camber always negative and told no fix for this and cause for excessive wear on tire and pulling to right. Paint chipping underneath driver side door on body. Bottoming out and tire pulling to right first looked at on 11/21/2012.
