Other Fuel System problem #1

A week or so after taking the car in for an oil change, I was on the highway and heard a rattling sound coming from the engine. There were no indicator or warning lights from the dashboard. The car then stopped accelerating. It was on, and the accelerator increased the rpms but the car did not move faster. I safely got home and checked the oil and it had less than a quart. There were no low-oil indicator lights telling me the oil was low. Separately, this week, while driving in the city, the engine again started making rattling sounds and completely shut off forcing me to pull off the road. Again, prior to the shut off there were no indicator lights. I was able to pull to the side of the road safely. I tried to restart the car and it would idle roughly befor the engine shut off again. After waiting 30 minutes, I checked the oil to see if the previous cause was the culprit, but this time the oil was still full. After 45 minutes, I was able to restart the car and drive home. I researched the issue and there are many complaints on reddit about this for this make and model. Since the issue is intermittent and can't be replicated at the dealership, there is no fix offered. I no longer trust or feel safe driving this car, especially on highways.

Other Fuel System problem #2

I own a 2021 Hyundai Palisade calligraphy with approximately 114,000 miles. The transmission had to be replaced at around 98,000 miles. Recently, before my next scheduled oil change (I had about 1,000 miles left), my vehicle suddenly began making a loud knocking noise and lost power. The dealer informed me that the engine may have blown. There were no warning lights, oil indicators, or overheating signs before this happened. The car has been regularly maintained and serviced with timely oil changes. This appears to be a premature engine failure possibly related to oil consumption or an internal defect, as many other Palisade owners have reported similar issues. Hyundai consumer affairs has been contacted, and a case number is being opened for review. I am filing this complaint to report a potential widespread engine problem and request investigation into 2021 Hyundai Palisade engine reliability and oil-related failures.

Other Fuel System problem #3

1. When accelerating, the entire car shudders intermittently but especially after letting off of the accelerator and then reapplying pressure to the accelerator. 2. The entire rear suspension makes popping and clicking noises constantly and seems to "bottom out" when going over the slightest bump or road imperfection. It causes the vehicle to bounce excessively potentially causing it to "fish tail". Discussed with dealer during early scheduled maintenance with little to no concern by them.

Other Fuel System problem #4

The car will start shaking, can’t exceed a certain mpg, and does not speed up. The check engine light comes on. The car is available for inspection. I drive on the freeway and slowing down, and shaking can cause accidents. This a continuous problem.

Other Fuel System problem #5

I was driving on a highway going approximately 80 mph when the car stopped accelerating. It was as if someone switched the car to neutral. The engine completely shut off and I had to scramble to safely pull over to the side of the highway. I had to turn the car off, wait, and turn it back on. I got back onto the highway and rushed towards a dealership. The engine shut down two more times. Each time requiring me to pull over to the side of an incredibly dangerous highway to restart the car. The dealership stated it was an issue with the fuel injector.

Other Fuel System problem #6

Another vehicle t-boned my vehicle on the front left side. We were both traveling around 15 mph. As soon as he struck my vehicle, the air bags were deployed and the car instantly caught fire. The car was on fire before I was at a complete stop. I was able to pry the door open and crawl through a small opening after moving the air bags out of the way. I had to crawl into traffic to be able to escape the fire. If the door had been jammed more severely then I wouldn't have been able to make it out in time before the fire reached me. If my kids had been in the vehicle, then I would not have been able to get them out before the fire got to them. The police determined that the fire started at the engine. My insurance totaled the vehicle and then it was removed from the towing yard and taken to montgomery. There were no prior issues or any warnings/messages before the incident.
