Six problems related to warning have been reported for the 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2021 Hyundai Palisade based on all problems reported for the 2021 Palisade.
**vehicle:** 2021 Hyundai Palisade calligraphy, ~75,000 miles. Purchased February 2025. **problem 1 - forward camera failure:** the forward-facing camera system controlling lane keeping assist, emergency braking, and lane departure warning has completely failed. Dashboard warnings appeared in recent weeks including "check forward safety system" and "forward safety system disabled" before total failure. This eliminates critical safety features designed to prevent accidents, significantly increasing collision risk. Camera unit behind rearview mirror available for inspection. **problem 2 - rear shock failure:** rear shock absorbers have failed, causing excessive clunking and compromised vehicle stability. Rear suspension has been clunking since purchase in February. This creates dangerous driving conditions with reduced stability, increased stopping distances, and poor emergency handling. This is a known issue covered under Hyundai technical service bulletin 22-22-001h. **safety risk:** both failures create serious safety hazards - eliminating collision avoidance systems and compromised vehicle control/stability. **professional confirmation:** local Hyundai dealer has confirmed both the camera system failure and rear shock absorber failure through diagnostic testing and inspection. **components available:** both the failed camera system and rear shock absorbers remain available for inspection upon request. **request:** investigation and remedial action for these safety-critical defects, particularly given the rear shock issue is a documented manufacturing problem per TSB 22-22-001h.
The warning sign about fca, ldw etc. Came on while driving. Cleaned all sensors and still the warning keeps coming up.
Windshield cracks with the slightest impact. After 2 replacement windshields and camera calibration performed four times, the vehicle still strays into oncoming traffic lane and over the fog line with lane keep assist and lane following assist activated. Camera has been calibrated three times at safelite and one time at Hyundai dealer. The lka & lfa systems were precise in their operation when I purchased the vehicle. Now the vehicle self steers into oncoming traffic with no warning until the vehicle is over the center line. Scary as hell. Apparently Hyundai has defective and weak windshields across the board according to many internet sources. Also, apparently the recalibration procedure is not working, causing a major safety issue in these vehicles.
While driving on April 18/2021, my 7-month-old less than 2000 miles Hyundai Palisade started to give me alerts that some safetyfeatureswere shutting down. With messages like this "check forward collision-avoidance assist system", the same happened with the lane departure system and other safety features. Since then the car has continued giving system errors after the car has been driving for a few minutes. I have already an appointmentwith the dealer's service department on 4/30.
I was travelling at 50mph under cruise control with lane following and lane keeping. A car drove past me in the lane to my left at about 65mph. The computer quickly turned my wheels and sent me into the lane at my right. It was a turning lane and unoccupied. The angle of the car to the turning lane was steep. I regained control of the car before it could go off the highway to the left.
The car was keeping the car centered in lane. There was a very slight curve to the lane. The car did not respond quickly. When the car was violating the opposite edge of the lane it over corrected to get centered. Then it violated the other edge and over corrected even more. The car was oscillating out of lane on both sides before I could regain control.
