1 Warnings problem

Failure Date: 03/24/2026

Acceleration hesitation on numerous occasions. Seat belt recall, unresolved. Waiting for parts for over two months. Also waiting for dealership availability and also, I need an available loaner car. I have to drive my child around frequently for personal reasons. I use my third row and there's no remedy for the third row safety recall. The second row seat belts are constantly being stuck and inoperable.

2 Warnings problem

Failure Date: 08/28/2025

While sitting at a stop sign, I attempted to place my vehicle in park. I opened the driver’s side door, but the car had not actually shifted into park. None of the vehicle’s safety systems engaged when the door was opened. The car rolled forward with me partially outside the vehicle, dragging me until it struck a tree. This incident reflects a critical failure in the vehicle’s electrical/safety systems: •the transmission did not engage park when selected. •the door-open rollaway prevention system did not activate. •the automatic front collision system failed to stop the vehicle. Because multiple electronic safeguards failed at the same time, this appears to be an electrical or computer system malfunction rather than driver error.

3 Warnings problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2024

I was approaching a stop sign, slowing down to around ~20 mph, then gently applied the brakes. All of a sudden, the car stared to lurch forward and the steering wheel shuddered violently as the abs braking appeared to kick in. As the brakes were applied, the vehicle kept bouncing forward in spurts rather than stopping and it took almost twice as long to stop than it should have. There was a vehicle in front of me and my vehicle was a foot from rear-ending that car despite me slowing in advance and attempting to brake gently. The collision warning system kicked in and I suspect that the vehicle stopped itself, even though I was firmly holding the brake pedal down. My wife experienced te identical situation a week later, so this is becoming very concerning. A quick search on the internet has revealed that many other 2023 & 2024 model year have experienced the same issues, and apparently Hyundai USA is aware of the issue, but do not have a solution to fix it yet.

4 Warnings problem

On 7/26/2024 vehicle in to dealer because warning light coming on if doing 55-65 mph stating front radar blocked, front safety system disabled. Vehicle at that time had 15,488 miles on it. Told dealer warning light does not come on while local driving to stores, for gas etc. Dealer said radar module had damage due to "minor collision". Not so, I am [xxx] uses car for local trips mostly. Contacted service manager at dealer--- conicelli in conshohocken PA pursuant to procedure to be followed in warranty booklet, no relief. He tried to push me to make a claim with my auto carrier which I did not. This is a warranty claim not a collision claim. I then contacted Hyundai direct & they also tried to steer me to a auto collision claim. I declined & filed a claim for adr with the bbb & it is pending. Going on line I see this appears to be a common complaint with the Hyundai radar module. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

5 Warnings problem

Failure Date: 03/05/2023

My sensors have been having issues since the day I bought my car March 5 2023. It would be intermittent, and became constant. The error reads, "check parking distance warning system" as well as "ultrasonic sensor error or blockage" and my sensors are clean. Nothing blocking them whatsoever. It's constant. I went to my dealership for them to say someone may have hit my car while I was I. The grocery store. Shouldn't there be some serious damage? I don't lcoe the lying. And I don't love how they tried to get me to pay because me sensors wouldn't even calibrate. They said anything could knock them out of wack because Hyundai sensors are super sensitive. Well then they need tk be less sensitive. My car is garage kept, barley leaves the house currently has only 2000 miles after having the car for 2 months now.
