This 2025 Hyundai Palisade calligraphy is a “top of the line” model loaded with automatic gadgetry that is not ready for prime time or any roadway. It is unsafe for the following reasons: problems appear to be software up-date related; the software updates way too often via overnight web connection. These updates not only change existing status of mundane systems (hatch or doors unlocking opening, etc. ); these updates appear to insert bugs into the operating system which then affects the safety of automated vehicle systems which then create unsafe driving conditions on roads. The biggest safety concern is with Hyundai’s “Smart cruise control” system. When a driver chooses a set speed they want to follow, here is what happens often: the Hyundai Smart cruise control is turned on and a driver “attempts” to index to the desired speed. Once this speed is actually attained all is good. If the posted road speed limit increases from 25 mph to 40 mph the driver has 2 choices, hold the speed increase button in for 3 seconds for a 5 mph bump up or press the button quickly for 1 mph bump ups. Instead, here is what happens often, a 3 second hold jumps the speed to 65 mph desired speed! or, a quick bump jumps to 50 mph desired speed! it is random and sporadic to what actually happens, so a driver must pay attention and cancel cruise control quickly, then get things back to normal and begin over. All this occurs while moving on a roadway at speed, hence unsafe biggly! also, what happens, these vehicles front view camera read the posted speed limit (on a street-side sign) and “automatically” sets the posted speed into the Hyundai “Smart cruise control”. It has upped this SUV’s speed to 95 mph and 75 mph automatically! the driver needs to be attentive to what the automated “Smart cruise control” systems are actually doing; all while driving on busy roadways! this is very unsafe! I believe web software updates are creating these problems - stop updates immediately.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while attempting to come to a complete stop, the transmission unexpectedly upshifted to accelerate independently. While depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as needed. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the result was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure had occurred on sever occasions. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 816.
The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving with the cruise control set to 72 mph, the vehicle unintendedly decelerated, and the vehicle came to a stop. The accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. There was an abnormal red light illuminated, and an alarm was activated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Occasionally, the car's rpms fluctuate wildly, and the engine stalls; the surges in rpm lead to sudden, abrupt acceleration, which poses a safety risk to me and my family. The dealership has been unable to resolve the problem.
Abs kicks in with even the slightest bump. Had an incident a couple weeks ago where I went over a bump while leaving a store and the car almost did not stop before hitting oncoming traffic. Have had issues for 10 months with the car not accelerating properly or shifting properly. Have tried to drive in every mode (Smart, sport, comfort) and nothing makes it better. I have had the vehicle to the shop 3 times. First 2 times said no problem. The third time stated my rear seal is leaking and transmission is leaking as well as 4x4 coupler needs replaced. I feel unsafe to drive in this vehicle with me and my children.
Getting out of a parking lot onto the road with my family in the car. The car would not break in spite of hitting the breaks before making the turn onto the road, the oncoming vehicle stopped int time to prevent a t-bone crash . After looking online , seems like a known issue with this model and the Hyundai will not acknowledge it. Please take action.
When using lane assist the vehicle is pulled into other lanes, including into oncoming traffic. This happens even when the vehicle is centered in the lane. This is extremely dangerous because it can cause an accident. When using cruise control, the lane assist comes on automatically which is extremely dangerous because the vehicle is going at high speeds on the highway. The dealership is aware of the situation. Both the mechanic and the salesman have driven the vehicle with me and experienced the problem. Additionally, the salesman and I drove another 2025 Palisade and the lane assist problem was present in that vehicle also.
Randomly, the second row seat belts will unbuckle by themselves, and the seat belt warning will randomly go off indicating the seat belt was unbuckled all the while no one was sitting in the seat. At random, while using the adaptive cruise control, the car will brake by itself, when there is no car close enough in front to activate the braking system. A few times, while using the adaptive cruise control, the system speed up for no reason. The only way to get the car to stop speeding up was to disengage the cruise control. Braking did not help.
