3 Wheel problem of the 2025 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 07/01/2025

This vehicle on multiple occasions per week will have what my husband can only describe as the abs incorrectly kick on. It happens in our driveway, rocky parking lots or streets that aren’t even. The vehicle shakes uncontrollably and the brakes can not be pressed when it happens. In the worst situation we ended up over a curb, luckily the curb seemed to help stop us before potentially hitting a post office. No lights come up on the dashboard and it isn’t easy to replicate as it happens randomly - usually at lower speeds - when coming into a stop. Our safety is put at risk every time we drive, not knowing if the issue will happen; and not being able to brake or remedy the issue. This is not a one time incident - this happens multiple times a week.

5 Wheel problem of the 2025 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 05/01/2025

My 25 pallisade front end/front wheels shake violently when braking and hitting a bump at the same time. It shakes so hard my steering wheel shakes also. It can happen when braking hard, soft, small bump, big bump, it doesn’t seem to matter. It is brand new and I took it into the dealership when there was about 1500 miles on it. They didn’t find anything wrong.

6 Wheel problem of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 04/01/2025

Suspension has been an issue since 10,000 miles. Rear shocks replaced at 58,000. 3,000 miles later the noise & bumpy ride have returned. Had to replace front brakes before 50,000 miles due to wear. Replaced all 4 tires due to extreme uneven wear at 45,000.

7 Wheel problem of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 12/26/2024

1. The paint (all the way down to the metal), in more than 3 spots, has started peeling off. 2 spots are about 2 feet each, so about 4 feet in total of missing paint. The silver on my rims has also started to peel off. 2. Paint has peeled off in large chunks which is unsafe. 3. The paint has been seen by service technicians at autonation, where I bought it from and service at a Hyundai dealership. 4. I have not filed a claim with insurance yet as it was recommended by both autonation and the dealership that it is a manufacturer defect and needs to be fixed by them. They both stated I could pay to have it repainted but it would just start chipping again since it is a manufacturer defect. The primer on the entire car was not applied properly so the paint is not sticking, hence why the paint has peeled all the way down to the metal. Just before I bought it, the paint had peeled on the hood and autonation repainted it back in October of 2024 and the paint has started peeling in the same spot as of February of 2025. The 2 spots that have 2 feet of paint gone happened all in one day back in decmeber 2024. No wreck, no damage to the car, I just walked out after driving it and paint was gone. 5. Both autonation and the dealership said they had never seen anything like this and this is a manufacturer defect 100%. No one wants to touch it since they have all claimed it will just peel again and I'll be right back in the shop a month later.

8 Wheel problem of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 09/16/2024

The rear shocks on my vehicle were checked and the left rear is requiring replacement at approximately 33k miles. The leakage was gradual and after the ride became noticeably rough, I took it for diagnosis at safford brown in fairfax, va. A failed left rear shock was confirmed. I am replacing to make the ride bearable, and in researching the issue, learned of a TSB for my model year issued by Hyundai for rear shock problems. I will request that the dealer keep the bad components if needed for further action to be pursued with Hyundai. The service advisor also noted very uneven wear on three tires which I believe to be directly caused by the gradual failure of the shock. An alignment was recommended. I have been advised by the service advisor and technician that the right rear shock is intact and does not require replacement at this time.

9 Wheel problem of the 2024 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 09/13/2024

While braking at a stop, and encountering a pothole (has occurred even without a pothole on straight surfaces), it feels like the is abs kicking in to avoid wheel lockup, and apparent slowing which rapidly mimics activities that could cause hard braking. Similar to when the car is on ice/snow and the car pulses to stop. Unsafe, as the vehicle does not top when intended and forces the vehicle to take longer to stop with the potential to involuntarily enter an intersection. I have had this occur multiple times. I am fearful that I will potentially have an accident with my grandchildren in the car. Dealership is aware of multiple issues, but cannot duplicate and thus will not resolve. No warning lights, or notifications occurred. Has been discussed on 2024 Palisade calligraphy forums. Review other reviews on reddit where other models have been affected.

10 Wheel problem of the 2024 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 02/29/2024

Dealership made several repairs at no cost to me that minimized the issue but issue still present. Car is leased. There were no weights on rear tires, weights had to be installed. Brakes feel as if being pushed upward when driving over rough road surface. Gas pedal vibrating when driving over rough surface. And feels as if bottom of vehicle or something under is dragging. Please help - I have 3 children one of whom is in wheelchair. Safety is a priority. Thank you.

11 Wheel problem of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 02/20/2024

The tpms does not alert at the required safety standard of 25% or the recommended psi. The recommended psi for the 2023 Palisade is 35. 25% drop would be 26. 25. Even driving on 26psi can be potentially deadly depending on how worn your tires are. I have found my tires at 27-28 psi at least 3 times since purchasing the vehicle with no alert. The dealership tested what psi sets off the tpms warning light to make sure it does trigger a warning, and it was 25 psi. They said they tested a few other Palisades they had on lot currently and all were triggered at 25 psi. This is unacceptable! driving a heavier SUV, they should be required to trigger a warning at 5 psi dip to avoid excessive low-pressure tire wear and dangerous driving conditions. These are family vehicles carrying children.

12 Wheel problem of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 12/18/2023

Car brakes try to lock when going over certain potholes or speed bumps and brakes seem faulty.

13 Wheel problem of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 10/18/2023

Troubling noise from rear suspension/wheel when crossing small bumps at low speeds. It is a clunk/rubbing noise, almost a deep creeking sound. Came on suddenly - first noticed when leaving for work one day. Many weeks to get into dealership.

14 Wheel problem of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 09/20/2023

In sept. Of 2023 I had my routine maintenance on my vehicle, oil change. At tempe auto nation Hyundai. My drivers side 3rd row headrest was not staying up and needed to be replaced. I also mentioned to my extremely rude service agent jake that my vehicle also had oil dripping coming from under the rear. I allowed him to do the oil change but not the headrest. I transferred location to have my vehicle serviced to camelback Hyundai. My headrest was replaced by camelback Hyundai. I also mention the oil leak to my service rep. Steve. I was also told that the vehicle was given an inspection. That I would need tires soon. My vehicle didn’t have 25000 miles on it. I purchased the vehicle new. It was also pulling to the right. The pulling was so bad I purchase 4 new tires. Costing over $700. The next day I took the vehicle to get an alignment, only to find out that my shocks/ struts are completely bad and needed to be replaced. I researched the issue with my Hyundai Palisade to see if there had been any recalls. It appears Hyundai is aware of the issue with the defective shocks. I am very disappointed and angry in the amount of time and money this has cost me because of an issue that the Hyundai corporation knew was occurring. They knew there was an issue with the headrest and also the shocks. Due to the defective shocks, I had to pay for new tires and alignment for a fairly new vehicle that had not reached 25000 miles and still under warranty. I would not have needed new tires so soon an alignment if Hyundai would have corrected the defective shocks.

15 Wheel problem of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 10/24/2022

Since brand new the tpms has not alerted to low tire pressure. 3 times I have caught the tires at 27. 5psi without a warning light. Between that and a suspension problem that causes the car to pull to the right even after 2 all-wheel alignments, my tires have around 6-8/32 tread left after 11,000 miles and 1. 5 years.

16 Wheel problem of the 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 09/22/2022

Driving home from the dealer on day of purchase, tire pressure monitoring system failure showed intermittently. Vehicle had 7 miles at purchase and less than 50 miles before first failure warning.

17 Wheel problem of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 09/11/2022

Turned into a parking spot , my Palisade immediately jumped forward accelerating on its own it began driving by itself, bouncing off of one vehichle to another and pushing the car in front of me backwards then sideways. I had no control over this car. I did not have my foot on the gas as I checked . I finally hit the park light and the car stopped. I need something done ASAP as I need a vehichle. My car as towed to the dealershipon Sunday this is now Thursday Hyundai is supposed to be in touch but I have not heard anything.

18 Wheel problem of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 07/01/2022

I have only had this car for 1. 5 years and about 6months ago I keep hearing a thump from rear suspension then the alignment started going off pulling to the right. Take it to tire kingdom to be aligned and they told me the shocks are leaking. Go to dealer and they took one week to say one shock is bad but part will take another week to get here I tried to get them to change both as the TSB I found 22-ss-001h but they refuse and will only change one. How can I get them to follow this TSB? as at the moment the car dose not feel safe to drive and I shoul not be responsible for this issue of changing both shocks properly. Dealers should not be able to fight things like this as they avoiusly know thers issues but they won't honor it. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I may have to get lawyers involved. Thank you for you time.

19 Wheel problem of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 05/06/2022

Our vehicle was purchased and taken home on 04/29/2022. On 05/06/23 we took the care in for an alignment issue, as the car drives right off the road, to the right. Dealership said it was off, at 200 miles only. They realigned and gave it back. It happens again, right after leaving the dealership. Car was taken back again on 05/06/22 for realignment yet again. Dealership rotated tires and realigned. This did not work again. So the third time, 06/23/22 we received another rotate and realignment. Again, this did not help, and a new front strut was ordered. The would drive right off the road, to the right, every time. Creating a major safety issue for our two toddlers, and family. The front strut was installed on 10/12/22. The dealership has been frustrated due to not being able to fix the alignment. Mind you, brand new car, 2022 Palisade. Front strut put on, but the vehicle is veering right again. Even the driver who picked the car up said he noticed the problem. Cooperate said we must get a second opinion from a Hyundai dealership before they can intervene. We have taken this brand new car to the same dealer at 200 miles, 1,000 miles, 5,000 miles and most recently for the strut. We’re going to get into an accident and Hyundai beats around the bush.

20 Wheel problem of the 2021 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 02/01/2022

On my way to work on the interstate with the cruise control set at 80mph a few weeks ago, the cruise control turned off automatically and all the warning lights came on within the dash. I pulled over, but the car seemed to be running fine otherwise. For the next few days the lights would be on or off and sometimes cruise control work and sometimes it didn't. I also noticed the parking break would engage automatically almost with every time I stop, which was also rare. I took the vehicle in for service and they were perplexed by the situation and had me leave my car for a few days. They thought they had it all fixed, but when I picked it up, within 24 hours, the lights came on again. I had noticed some break pressure issues when starting car up with this issue, but never a huge concern, until I backed out of my girlfriends driveway down a hill within 30 seconds of starting the car. With my foot on the pedal, the break disengaged for 2-3 seconds as I drifted down towards the street in reverse, and the abs starting pumping until I was able to depress the brake and get the car to stop (probably drifted 10-15 feet). Thank goodness no one behind me. I drove the vehicle in for service immediately as they suggested if lights remained on, so they could run diagnostics. They ordered a wheel sensor, which took a few weeks to get in while I still drove the vehicle with the abs causing me some concern over those 2-3 weeks. Just yesterday before my service to get wheel sensor changed today, I was out picking up food and driving through a flat parking lot within 30 seconds of starting the vehicle. The same issue with abs happened that I had before and I started going through a stop sign and pedestrian walkway. Luckily no one coming and brakes kicked in again after 5 feet of having no brake control at low speed. Wheel sensor replaced today and lights off. Everything seems to be working. I'm extremely concerned about this safety issue and potential accidents, injuries, deaths!.

21 Wheel problem of the 2020 Hyundai Palisade

Failure Date: 05/21/2021

My tire was losing air so we took it to a local tire shop to be repaired thinking it had a nail in it or something. Turns out it was losing air because the wheel was cracked and slightly bent. The only 2 people who drive this car are my husband and I and neither of us could recall hitting or running over anything. The Hyundai dealer refused to submit a warranty claim (car had 16,200 miles on it), so we called Hyundai corporate and they submitted a warranty claim that would be assigned to a case manager and they would get back to us. That was 5/24 and by 6/15 we still hadn't heard anything back from them in spite of calling 3 more times to check the status of the case. I believe either this particular wheel was defective or the engineering design of the wheel is wrong. We still have the wheel for inspection. No warning lights other than the low tire pressure warning came on. The dealer inspected the wheel twice and les schwab (tire place) inspected it twice and installed a used ("take-off") wheel for us yesterday. The tire had no damage and there was no damage of any kind anywhere on my car, so I find it hard to believe that we could have hit something so hard to crack the wheel but had no other damage and couldn't remember any such event. The crack is over 1 inch long and absolutely could have caused a blowout or accident, so we weren't able to use the car much for a month except right around our home.
