The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that both sides of wheels speed sensors covers needed to be replaced and the abs had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.

The contact stated while driving 30 mph the contact was attempting to get into the right hand lane out of the way of speeding vehicle approaching from the rear. The contact stated she thought she saw a warning light for the brakes being illuminated but cannot remember. The contact stated that the brakes failed and she hit a vehicle from behind and that the impact slowed her vehicle to a stop. The contact stated that the front drivers side fender was damaged. The contact was injured by the impact hitting her head on the steering wheel, the airbags did not deploy. The contact said that the police arrived and wrote a report. The contact stated that she was driven to the hospital by her husband where her injuries to her forehead were treated. The vehicle was drivable, but that the vehicle engine began to stall at stop signs or traffic lights. The vehicle has been at the contacts residence for 4 months since the accident and is not drivable. The contact did not take the vehicle to local dealer, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The contact stated that she is still having side effects from the accident, she suffers from migraine headaches.
