The contact owns a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the spark plugs were misfiring and the coil and spark plugs wires needed were replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Additionally, he contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of oil. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.
