One problem related to air bag not deploy has been reported for the 1997 Hyundai Sonata. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer rearend vehicle with a 25 mph impact with applying brakes. Dual airbags did not deploy and shoulder seatbelt did not lock up, causing consumer to hit head against steering wheel. Consumer will contacted dealer to determine cause.
