The power seat switch is defective. It will not move backward, only forward, which makes the car unsafe to drive if the seat cannot be moved to a safe driving position. Hyundai previously released a campaign called campaign t82 to address this defect but as of today is stating they will not repair it. I spoke with a dealer (global Hyundai) and with the Hyundai corporation and they both denied any knowledge of the defect.

The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. While the contact was exiting the vehicle, the driver seat began to move forward and pinned the contact between the seat and steering wheel for four hours. The contact stated that the power adjust switch, radio and panic button on the remote would not function. The contact called the dealership and the dealer stated that they would replace the power seat switch. The VIN and failure mileage were unavailable at the time of the complaint.
