57 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 02/27/2018

Complaint in regards to NHTSA recall number 18v137000 Hyundai has failed to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. Campaign 174 is dated Feb. 27, 2018. I called Hyundai recall hotline at 855-371-9460 on may 2, 2018. I requested a rental car until remedy is provided. I was told nothing can be done, and I should contact my local dealership. Local dealership said they have no information or remedy and told me to call the hotline. Dealership said if I wanted a rental car, I could rent one myself, as nothing would be provided for me. Recall remains incomplete as of June 29, 2018. This recall is a serious safety concern and places myself and my family at a great risk of injury or death. Hyundai has acted in bad faith by providing no remedy or solution to my requests over this matter in a timely fashion. While there are no airbag warning lights active on my vehicle, you won't know the airbags and seat belts properly function until you crash. That's unacceptable. I have a case number from my initial contact with Hyundai regarding my concerns over the vehicle. Case # 11225055. Honda provided free rental cars for their airbag recalls. How can Hyundai sit idle and offer nothing? I am requesting NHTSA to please pursue this complaint to help expedite a remedy from Hyundai for this recall.

After purchasing this car in 2018, I learned this vehicle had many recalls. After disagreements and arguments Hyundai, supposedly installed a brand new engine. I was then notified that I would have to pay out of pocket for the other recalls on this vehicle. After more debates and arguments they cleared out all of the recalls on this vehicle as if they were fixed, and they were not fixed. This is a safety hazard and needs to be investigated. I still have many issues with the so-called recalls such as airbags, driver seatbelt and steering column.

Airbag warning on dashboard, steering wheel components such as volume, cruise control, reset mileage and the rest of the tabs do not function on the steering wheel, rear left side brake light bulb has to be replaced every four months, front right side/driver's side head light bulb wont' come on after replacing the light bulb, inside the cab the above night/passenger and rear guest lights won't come on, after an overall tune up such as oil, filters, liquids and plugs the engine warning light comes on for two days/48 hours. The vehicle engine starts and runs normal every day. The problem is more electrical by the above information. The local Hyundai dealership would like for us to take the vehicle in to check for the problem. About a year ago or less we had a vehicle recall on two specific items. After taking our vehicle to the dealership to see about the two recalls. One of the recalls was looked into and fixed. The second recall was never fixed and the car engine was running in the worst manner, the engine would run and stall, at a stop light while the engine was running, the engine would misfire. We were at the dealership and they wanted us to leave our vehicle so that it could be checked by their technicians while in the process we were told that we were responsible for the problem or vehicle misfiring/stalling of the engine. We called the 888-327-4236 for assistance and our problem was solved. By having your group contacting the dealership and having our second vehicle recall fixed and solved. That's the main reason for not going back to the dealership, apparently they are the only ones in town. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. If we have to go back to the dealership, we'd go back but only with your assistance. Thank you. Email ccalvillo3@hotmail. Com or cell 915-472-5131.

70 Seat Belt problem

Failure Date: 07/03/2017

2011 Hyundai Sonata is very unsafe. I have had to have brake light recall fixed at least 3 times and the brake lights are still going out. The horn has completely gone out. The engine shuts off at random times leaving me stranded in unsafe situations. The takata airbags still have not been replaced. Car is very unsafe to drive; Hyundai needs to buy back all these vehicles.
