general problems of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata

He was the belted front passenger and his elbow went in to the front window. You can tell by looking at it,the hole and spidered around it. He broke his right elbow. The air bag sensor located in the front passenger seat does not function. It is available for inspection upon request. Because the sensor doesn't engage, the passenger-side air bag will not deploy in the event of an accident, leaving my passenger at risk of serious injury or death. I requested reimbursement from the manufacturer in the amount of $638. 50 but was told the vehicle was no longer under warranty. No vehicle should br driven without properly working air bags.

I own a 2015 Hyundai Sonata and have an issue with dash pad, the passenger side air bag has split at the airbag seam and has traveled to the drivers side. If the passenger airbag deploys, I could see some severe injury to the passenger side occupant when the airbag deploys after the cover detaches from the rest of the dash pad. The lifespan of any safety system component is 15yrs according to NHTSA.

My 2015 Hyundai Sonata has issues when switching from eco-to standard to sports, it constantly shakes when approaching a red light or stop. . My vehicle is constantly stock and vandalize and stole. This car was a one car accident, 2 people were in the vehicle. A on coming car in the opposite lane was swerving in my lane causing me to try to get over to the right of the road trying to Dodge the car , we hit some kind of post no air bags deployed, I also have pictures as well as documentation from Hyundai fixing the engine on the car they supposedly inspected everything and said the only the wrong was the breaks. Well no airbags deployed one person is hospitalized lung was out of chest and the other person suffered injuries to the face and arm which is also documented we are currently still in the hospital so any other documentation can be sent later on.

The airbag dash light intermittently comes on and off, it has thrown a b1490 code although the car has never been in any major accidents before. I have read that it is a common issue among vehicles like mine, however there is no recall though I've seen many complaints about it on online forums.

Tl- the contact owned a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while the driver was driving 45 mph, the air bag deploy without warning, causing the contac to crashed into another vehicle. As a result, the contact sustain head injuries which took half of his scalp off and hat to get 30 staples. The contact stated that he had two holes in his brain and had to put two tube to drain the blood. The contact stated that at the time of surgery the driver had to have five units of blood and also had one pint of blood. The contact stated that the other driver was taken to in ambulance and does not know what was her injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an insurance tow lot and was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000. Aw.

Engine burns 2 quarts of oil a week. Took it in for oil consumption tests and Hyundai figures out ways to not replace these faulty gdi engines. Also car has a strong gas smell inside car. Maybe gas leaking. Airbag warning light has been on for years. Took it to the dealer in the past they said it's ok(hub Hyundai katy TX) but I don't feel confident.

"takata recall'. When sitting in traffic I thought someone hit me from behind. Next thing I know,I am hitting car in front of me. I really feel when air bags on steering wheel and under wheel went off the bottom bag hit my leg and knocked my foot off the brake pedal leaving bad bruise on my leg. First response,hit the brake but in confusion I think my foot was knocked over the gas peddle causing me to run into car ahead. Result: $9000. 00 damage to my car, other car got scratch on bumper. I was the only one injured and needed to go to doctor for treatment. Please follow up because this is a big concern for the safty of the car owners. This car has several re calls and I wasn't never informed and this doesn't make any sense.

I was parking the car at an angle and hit the outside wall of a store at 2:30 in the afternoon. Both air bags deployed on the driver's side. Initially, I thought I had done something wrong, and maybe I did but I came to find out much later that this car has a floor mounted gas pedal. I had owned the car about five weeks by that time and had been out of town one of those weeks when I didn't even use it. I had put plastic mats in the car to protect the mats and carpeting in there. That morning I saw that the mat had gone up against the gas pedal. Again, at that point, I did not realize that the pedal was floor mounted. My only complaint is that Hyundai should tell people this and tell them not to put extra mats on the driver's side unless they are custom made. I really don't know if the accident was because I did something wrong or because the mat was pressing against the gas pedal and propelled the car forward while I thought I was pushing on the brake. The front corner of the car was severely damaged as was the wall I hit.

My passenger occupancy mat señor is not working. It has been replaced by Hyundai several times and was a part of a recall. It was replaced in 2006 and 2007. They installed a new version of the senor mat, and the mat senor is defective again. I called hynindia of America, and they said even though it was a recall and they fixed it as a recall fix, they said that they are no longer responsible. Is that the case?.
