general problems of the 2016 Hyundai Sonata

The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Sonata equipped with gt radial tire, tire line: champiro touring, tire size: 205/65/r16, dot number: y9bccrhx. The contact stated when she approached the vehicle in the morning, the front driver’s side tire was flat. The contact stated she called roadside assistance who replaced the tire with the spear tire. The contact took the vehicle to the tire shop and the contact was informed that there was no failure found with the front driver’s or passenger’s side tires. The contact continued to experience the failure. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 16t017000 (tires); however, the VIN was not included. The contact attempted to call the manufacturer but has not been able to speak with a representative. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.

These tires were purchaed on a new vehicle (factory tires) and have been rotated regularly, documentation available. The tread life/wear on the tire is premature. The vehicle has a 60,000 mile warrantly according to kumho's website. I was informed during my last tire rotation that this would be last before needing new tires. The vehicle has 37,900 miles when I was told this information on 4/2/18. The tire wear/life on these tires is evidently premature and I am requesting replacment tires or a pro-rated refund/credit.
