Tl the contact owns a 2018 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that the check engine warning indicator illuminated shortly after the vehicle was purchased on March 5, 2019. Hyundai of kennesaw (2878 barrett lakes blvd, kennesaw, GA 30144, (678) 809-6990) diagnosed that the knock sensor harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was still at the dealer receiving further testing. The manufacturer had not issued a recall for the 2015-2018 models, excluding them from NHTSA campaign number: 17v226000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000.
