general problems of the 2019 Hyundai Sonata

The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at 15 mph in a residential area, another vehicle coming from the left side tried to pass the contact into oncoming traffic, as the contact's husband was trying to slow down to make a u-turn. As a result, the other driver's vehicle then crashed into the contact's husband. There were no warning lights illuminated. None of the air bags deployed. The vehicle was idled back to a friend's place of residence. The contact's husband suffered injuries from the vehicle collision. The contact's husband went to the hospital a day after the collision and was informed he would be sore for a couple of days. A police report was filed. The vehicle has not been repaired or taken to be diagnosed. The contact stated that she had notified the other vehicle's insurance and was awaiting a response. The dealer has not been made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.

Airbag light came on. Car is in otherwise perfect shape (red flag). Brought to Hyundai dealer. Was told it was a short somewhere on front passenger side. But it will cost $250 to figure out where. Then possibly over $1000 to fix it!! upon researching it I found many complaints on same issue on otherwise normal good condition Sonata’s. Clearly they used inferior components designed to fail. Similar to their stealable cars (with a usb cable) I’m sure you’re fermi liar with. They hid that until tic tok put out videos showing how to. They had to fix it due to owners auto insurance going up (way up). I can’t afford to repair this pressing safety issue. Hyundai should be held responsible for using knowingly faulty parts in their air bag system then charging customer large $ just to make an otherwise perfectly running car safe to operate. Oh, then they said they’d offer me a “loaner” till fixed. But their “loner” costs $50 per day!! that’s a rental not a loaner.

While using the cushion or pillow in the passenger’s side seat, the air bag warning lights illuminated. The contact had concerns about the functionality of the vehicle. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

The contact's uncle owns a 2019 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated while his uncle was driving approximately 20 mph and going over a speed bump, the driver's side front and side air bags deployed. The contact stated that the passenger’s side air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that his uncle saw the air bags warning light illuminated, but only after the air bags had deflated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who did not want to diagnose the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 27,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving approximately 78 mph a second vehicle made contact with the front passenger side causing the driver to loose control of the vehicle and crash into a concrete median. During the crash no airbags in the vehicle deployed and the driver sustained a concussion and neck injury which required medical treatment. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet notified of the incident. The failure mileage was 60,000.
