Side/window Air Bag problems of the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon

The contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag deployed while the vehicle was parked. The passenger sustained bruises on his shoulder. The manufacturer inspected the vehicle, but could not determine the cause of failure. She stated that the manufacturer would not release the vehicle until she signed a release form. The current mileage is 15,700 and failure mileage was 15,600. The consumer stated Hyundai hired an outside investigator to inspect the vehicle. The consumer stated Hyundai will not repair the vehicle unless she signs a waiver stating that they are not liable and the vehicle is under warranty.
