Other Fuel System problem #1

I purchased this 2022 Tucson limited Hyundai new. It has 25,000 miles on it. The car check engine light came on and a power reduction began along with shaking of the car. I was able to clear the intersection safely. I was able to turn into a safe spot and shut down the car. It was towed to the dealer who then informed me that it was an injector know issue for this year and would be covered under the 5 year warranty. However, as this is a engine/powertrain problem, it should be covered on the 100,000/ten year warranty. A TSB (23-FL-002h-1) alert had already been issued, but not a recall. Many owners have reported having this problem repeatedly, as a safety issue and a known mfg defect. When is the government going to step up and demand a real fix be done before someone is killed? owner are current left fighting with the dealers over the warranty limits or taking legal action. If you google this problem, you can find out the national level of this problem, from accidents which caused fires or accidents from power loss. My car is still at the dealer waiting on parts. Its time to force a recall! I will be demanding that it is covered for the 10 year warranty period and considering taking action under the lemon laws. If the government fails to act on this soon, than they are just as libel as the manufacturer. Your immediate attention to this issues is requested.

Other Fuel System problem #2

When braking my 2022 Hyundai Tucson to come to a stop, the vehicle continues to accelerate. I have to release the brake and re-apply the brake to fix the acceleration problem. I check the internet on this problem. They internet says it is a software problem. The vehicle shows no code and the dealer says they don't have a problem. The dealer has not check for the problem since there is no code. No warning lamps or messages show up on dash. This happened 4 times in the last few months. Latest date was 4-4-2026.

Other Fuel System problem #3

Car is a gas hybrid (not plugin). 3 occurrences over the last couple of months. Car emits a warning sound and a message on the dash says "check hybrid system. Stop safely". Basically right after this message the car starts losing power and stops. Doesn't matter if on freeway or not. You need to find a place to pull over or you stop traffic wherever you are. Looks like hybrid battery is completely drained. Can not be re-created. Dealer has it now for the 3rd time. Dealer in the past have not been able to find cause/cure since this issue is not posting any errors to the onboard diagnostic system. Temporary 'fix' is to power off car, and power back on. Looks like this is a 'known' issue though as its being reported by quite a few people online.

Other Fuel System problem #4

Bought the 2022 Hyundai Tucson. It was driving perfect no issues then I hit 52,000 miles and the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle started sputtering and idling hard like it wasn’t getting fuel when the gas was pressed. I was on the interstate and the vehicle wouldn’t go over 35mph. Now the check engine light illuminates off and on when it feels like it.

Other Fuel System problem #5

High pressure fuel injectors went out.

Other Fuel System problem #6

This vehicle has a considerate amount of oil dilution problems. I have had this vehicle taken in for service several times due to gasoline mixed into the engine oil. Again on March 6 2026 for the 4th time now the vehicle has a check engine light extreme hesitation with an almost stopping jerking motion due to dilution problems. Multiple dealerships claim there is nothing wrong with the car. . There is a distinct gasoline smell in the engine oil. The vehicle at times is almost unsafe to drive due to the hesitation and halting it does on its own. Every time a dealership is contacted my problem is dismissed. There is a burning smell due to the oil gas dilution issue. The car reaches higher temperatures than it should. And now the Hyundai dealership is making me wait almost a month again to have the problem looked at again which then puts me as the driver in an unsafe situation to drive a vehicle with such hesitation and fire risk. If they dismiss this oil and gas mix again and do not repair the car it could seize my engine or maybe possibly even cause fire damage.

Other Fuel System problem #7

Engine light #2 gdi injector at 60,900 miles been repaired but not under warranty out at 60,000 miles.

Other Fuel System problem #8

Repeat repair timeline – loss of acceleration vehicle: 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid blue issue: intermittent loss of acceleration from a complete stop (safety concern) occurrence 1 approx. Date: 12/2025 mileage: ~ 48000 description: vehicle failed to accelerate immediately after a complete stop. Pressed accelerator and experienced a noticeable delay before the vehicle moved. No warning lights. Turned on and off. Restarted normal. Action taken: no service visit at this time. Occurrence 2 approx. Date: 01/2025 mileage: 12/2025 description: same issue occurred again from a complete stop. Delay in acceleration while entering traffic. No dashboard warnings. Action taken: issue noted for future service visit. Occurrence 3 (reported to dealership) date: 50,000-mile service 01/14/2025 mileage: ~50,000 miles description: loss of acceleration from a stop occurred multiple times prior to this visit. I informed the dealership that this was a very dangerous safety issue. Dealership response: vehicle was serviced as part of the 50,000-mile maintenance. Dealership stated they could not find anything wrong. No specific repair or explanation provided. Outcome: issue was not resolved. Occurrence 4 (post-service) date: January 28, 2026 mileage: ~55,999 miles description: after coming to a complete stop, I pressed the accelerator and the vehicle did not respond for several seconds. No warning lights or alerts. This occurred after the dealership stated no issue was found. This condition has resulted in a dangerous delay while entering traffic and creates an immediate and ongoing safety risk to the myself and young children passengers, and surrounding vehicles. The defect involves a loss of acceleration / loss of motive power and has occurred repeatedly without warning. I am formally requesting escalation beyond the dealership level, full documentation of this safety defect, and a permanent corrective resolution. It is not safe.

Other Fuel System problem #9

We brought our 2022 Hyundai Tucson into our local Hyundai dealership under warranty for technical service bulletin misfire dtc (p030x) – internal gdi injector leak repair. We were surprised to learn the dealership did not have the parts in stock considering this is a widely known issue and we incurred significant expenses while waiting for the vehicle to be repaired. Expenses incurred: $211. 47 for enterprise car rental (2026 Hyundai sonata) from 1/19/26 to 1/23/26 $140. 00 to have the vehicle towed to the dealership since it could not be driven $18. 14 for uber to local rental car agency total out-of-pocket expenses: $369. 61 all documentation was presented to Hyundai corporate, but we have been waiting 3 weeks and the company has not reimbursed or provided any update. On a related note, to avoid the inconvenience of having to bring our vehicle in again for another known issue, we asked if the current recall on our vehicle could be completed while our car was in the shop for the week, but we were advised that our vehicle did not have any recalls. However, according to NHTSA. Gov, there is an existing safety recall that was issued more than 2 months ago on December 19, 2025 (NHTSA safety issue id #25v893000 / Hyundai recall #290). The fact that we were told there were no recalls on our vehicle is unsettling and this experience has us seriously reconsidering if we will be purchasing another Hyundai again.

Other Fuel System problem #10

I have had numerous issues with fuel injectors failing. The first incident was about 30,000 miles. This was fixed by the manufacturer not even 10,000 miles later, I once again had to return the vehicle, to be inspected by the dealership. Instead of replacing all of the fuel injectors at the same time they chose to only replace one. As soon as my car went over the 80,000 mile warranty limit, my fuel injectors went out once more. My mechanic son, has also changed several as well. I had to tow it, 100 miles to the Hyundai dealership, as I live in a rural area. I was told by a young lady, at the dealership, that it was be covered under the engine warranty, which is 100,000 miles. They weren’t even able to look at the car for a week charged me $250 for a diagnosis… after a week 1/2 dealership finally told me it would be over $3000 to repair. . No! I had to pay to tow it back. I’ve been without a vehicle for five months. When the fuel injectors went out, it also damaged the high-pressure fuel rail, the high pressure fuel pump, and various sensors. This is dangerous, I live in a very rural area. It stopped operating out of the blue. It chugged/bumped a few times, and it was dead. This is inconvenient, and it’s dangerous, especially during the winter time where temperatures reach -20 regularly and no cell phone signals. I believe Hyundai is well aware, of the problem. In fact the service manager had mentioned that the parts were on backorder because apparently they are in quite high demand. No fuel injector should be going out in 15,000 or 20,000 miles, causing systemic failure. Hundai has made no effort to redesign failed parts. It’s quite disheartening, to replace/repair with a new defective part. That is going to go bad, in just a few thousand miles!! im retired, on a fixed income. I bought new, so I wouldn’t have issues. Paying new prices, to drive junk. I’d just drop it off @ dealers, and walk away. . But the loan, is so upside down that isn’t even possible.

Other Fuel System problem #11

The fuell door will not open on the vehicle, and I am not able to put gas in the vehicle. Have taken it to a mechanic and he is unsure of what is going on. For a 2022 vehicle this seems very odd.

Other Fuel System problem #12

The fuel door would not open, preventing me from refueling the vehicle. I had to purchase a new fuel door actuator and have the vehicle towed to a repair shop, which caused a significant inconvenience.

Other Fuel System problem #13

The fuel injectors in the car keep misfiring causing the car to shake while driving, be loud and idle hard. In the past I have already replaced two different fuel injectors and now this is a third one that needs replaced.

Other Fuel System problem #14

When getting onto the highway on November 30, 2025, the engine on my 2022 Hyundai Tucson made an odd sound, acceleration was compromised and the check engine light came on. My husband was driving and he safely navigated us off the highway and back to our home via city streets. We were very concerned we were going to break down on the highway or city street during a cold time of year. The next day we had the vehicle towed to a local auto service center and they diagnosed the problem as a failed fuel injector. They stated this was a known issue by Hyundai. The auto service center ordered the fuel injector kit to make the repair, but they were only allowed to repair the failed fuel injector, not all of them. I'm concerned another fuel injector will fail. If Hyundai knows about the fuel injector issue why haven't they issued a recall?.

Other Fuel System problem #15

Car started stalling and misfiring. When I took the vehicle for service they said it was a known issue and they were replacing all 4 fuel injectors. This was my wife’s car. About a year and a half ago the same thing happened to my 2022 Hyundai Tucson n-line. I have googled around and found many many issues of the same thing happening on 2022 Tucsons.

Other Fuel System problem #16

While driving our 2022 Hyundai Tucson limited with the 2. 5l engine and about 39,000 miles, the check engine light suddenly came on. Right away the car started behaving strangely. The throttle response became jerky and uneven, and when idling the engine ran at a higher rpm than normal and sounded off. The vehicle also struggled to accelerate, which made it feel unsafe to drive. Thankfully this happened while we were not on the highway, but if it had occurred while merging or keeping up with traffic, it could have been dangerous. Even in city driving, the jerky response and slower acceleration created risk. What would normally be a safe turn across or into traffic could easily have turned into a slower, delayed turn and a potential accident. When we got home, I checked the code and it said it was a cylinder misfire on cylinder 3. The car had been regularly serviced at the dealer and had never shown signs of this issue before. Based on the symptoms, I suspect it may be related to the fuel injectors, but we haven’t been able to get the vehicle in for inspection because local dealers are backed up. One dealer even told us it was fine to keep driving as long as the check engine light wasn’t blinking, which feels concerning given the way the car is performing.

Other Fuel System problem #17

I just bought this car back in February. It has 50k miles on it. Five minutes after starting it, and in the middle of a busy road, my accelerator suddenly stopped working, my car started shaking, and then it died. My dash lit up and it turns out, it was an issue with the factory fuel injectors.

Other Fuel System problem #18

All four gdi injectors failed resulting in the car completely stopping on the highway.

Other Fuel System problem #19

Fuel injectors failed after 4 years of having the car. This led to misfiring, shaking of car, and complete shut down of car within 10 seconds of starting the vehicle.

Other Fuel System problem #20

Driving on interstate 64 in southern indiana approximately 70 mph in left lane when engine died without any warning signs. Was able to safely maneuver vehicle to shoulder without incident. Paid to have the vehicle towed 60 miles to Hyundai dealer. Dealer stated engine failure was due to injector issue known by Hyundai as a technical issue was released.

Other Fuel System problem #21

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? cylinder 4 fuel injector failed while driving 70 mph down the highway. The dealer or manufacturer will have the faulty parts for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? loss of power and acceleration put me and others at risk; I could not go over 40 mph on the highway, the car was lurching the entire time. Inattentive drivers being the main concern, with low speeds and driving/sitting still on the shoulder of the road. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? yes, the dealership I had it towed to confirmed the injector failed. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? the manufacturer is aware of the issue. There is a TSB issued that asks the dealer to send the faulty parts back to them. They are fully aware of the issue and are choosing to replace faulty parts with equally faulty parts. The dealer told me the replacement injectors “are not supposed to have the factory defect” but confirmed they are the same parts. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? yes, the engine light came on and I lost power/acceleration simultaneously.

Other Fuel System problem #22

Two separate times over the last year I’ve had a fuel injector go bad after using the auto start feature in semi colder temperatures. I’m not sure if the auto start has something to do with it but seems to be a cold weather issue.

Other Fuel System problem #23

It’s been three years now and I had “brake system failure” happened two times in 3 years. When traveling the brake system warning appears and while driving, and stopped at sign brake releases slightly and car would start to move unless I apply brakes firmly again. When slowing down at traffic lights holding the brake doesn’t bring car to complete stop. I had apply brake, slightly release and then apply again until car comes to full stop. I was told they need to replace ieb module and brake pedal module replacement. I checked in reddit and other platforms where users had seen the issue multiple times on their vehicles. Also had an issue with fuel system like replacement of egr valve which seems to be common on multiple vehicles.

Other Fuel System problem #24

Taken car to work, driving down highway check engine light come on with loss of power. Took to dealership reported cylinder number 3 fuel injector was stuck open. Replaced all 4 injectors. Found TSB for it.

Other Fuel System problem #25

Hyundai has a known issue with gdi fuel injectors. Car begins to shake and lose power and eventually will stall due to cylinder misfire caused by defective injectors.

Other Fuel System problem #26

Stopped accelerating/disabled in the middle of interstate during rush hour traffic.

Other Fuel System problem #27

I went to fill up the gas and the gas cap door would not open. The gas station attendant tried to help with no luck. I drove to the dealer - the fuel release actuator had failed. Part was replaced under warranty. I am lucky I had enough gas to get to the dealer. Very scary when you can’t put gas in your car!.

Other Fuel System problem #28

Fuel injector failure. Car was losing power completely when pressing the gas pedal then would suddenly catch and go again. Then go very slowly with little power, almost got into an accident because of the loss of acceleration. They replaced the fuel injectors and it is now happening a second time with the check engine light coming on again. A recall needs to be made! several of the same complaints on here!!!!!!!.

Other Fuel System problem #29

I am submitting this complaint due to repeated and dangerous fuel injector failures on my 2022 Hyundai Tucson. This is the third time this issue has occurred in less than three years of ownership. •first incident: my vehicle broke down on the side of the road while I was 10 hours away from home in florida. This left me stranded and required towing and repairs. •second incident: the fuel injectors failed again, though fortunately closer to my home. •third and most recent incident: the same issue happened again, this time with my wife driving—a major safety concern. We purchased this vehicle specifically to avoid breakdowns like this and for the safety and reliability it was supposed to provide. This recurring failure is unacceptable for a newer vehicle and poses a significant safety risk to my family and other drivers. Fuel injector failure can lead to stalling in traffic or on highways, increasing the potential for accidents. I urge NHTSA to investigate this matter, as it appears to be a systemic issue with this model and could lead to serious harm if not addressed.

Other Fuel System problem #30

My fuel injectors has been blown and Hyundai will not replace all 4 when one goes out. So I have to keep going back up to the dealership to get it fixed each time. They always blow on the highway. The first time I was doing some distance driving from columbus, OH to dayton, OH. Then the other time happened when I was on the highway during rush hour traffic. There were no other warnings before this happens. It just happens and the engine light comes on as the steering will begins to shakes like crazy.

Other Fuel System problem #31

I’ve already had my fuel injections changed about 20,000 miles again and my car is starting to stall again check engine light on again seems to be same issue now my car is no longer under warranty. I don’t seem this problem on the recall list but this is not a problem I want to have every 20,000 miles.

Other Fuel System problem #32

For the second time I was driving and all of a sudden lost power and couldn’t give it gas to go. I was almost hit from behind both times.

Other Fuel System problem #33

My high pressure fuel injectors and spark plug had to be replaced at 72,000 miles. My check engine light came on and the car started vibrating and was not accelerating properly. I spoke to three Hyundai dealership service centers and each of them acknowledged that it was a known issue with 2022 Hyundai Tucsons.

Other Fuel System problem #34

Fuel injectors failure. . . . . Second one in a little over a year. Broke down on major highway. . Towed to hundai in cape girardau as it is under power train warranty. Only to be told that this is not part of the power train even though it is in the engine. Known issue,, last time the mechanic told us it was part of power train. There have been service bulletins on this issue.

Other Fuel System problem #35

Component or system that failed: after a routine oil change at rick case Hyundai of roswell on Saturday, \[insert date], my 2022 Hyundai Tucson began shaking significantly. The dealership later informed me the issue was related to a **malfunction in the fuel injector system**. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and available for inspection upon request. How safety was put at risk: the shaking occurred immediately upon driving away from the dealership and worsened rapidly. I was concerned about losing control of the vehicle orengine stalling while driving, which could pose a danger to myself, passengers, and others on the road. I returned the vehicle immediately to avoid further risk. Reproduced or confirmed by dealer or service center: yes, the problem was confirmed by the dealership (rick case Hyundai of roswell). They diagnosed the issue as being related to fuel injector failure. I am waiting on a written report and confirmation of warranty coverage. Inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance, or others: at this point, the issue has been inspected and diagnosed by the Hyundai dealership. It has not been inspected by police, insurance, or any other outside parties. Warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms before failure: warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms before failure: yes, the check engine light turned on shortly after I noticed the vehicle shaking. The symptoms began **immediately after the oil change**, and the engine light appeared as the shaking worsened. There were no prior warning signs before this incident. This suggests a sudden failure, possibly related to the fuel injection system*, as diagnosed by the dealership.

Other Fuel System problem #36

My car stopped on the street without notice, check engine light came on and won’t moved, no power on acceleration. Was towed to dealership. Next two days, they told me that two fuel injectors were blocked/broke. I searched on internet and that has happened in many vehicles.

Other Fuel System problem #37

Cylinder 2 misfires, engine code p0302. Yes, it is available. Engine loses power during acceleration. Yes, Hyundai of anderson (south carolina) no warning or symptoms. Driving great then the engine starting misfiring going down the interstate.

Other Fuel System problem #38

Fuel injectors. It is available for inspection. (please!)this is the second failing of an engine, fuel or powertrain issue. The car was in motion and suddenly just lost power. The first time it occurred about a month after purchased brand new in 2022, the car was coming from a stop light into the middle of an intersection. Driver was thankfully able to glide to side of road since it was early morning and had it towed to dealership. Second time it happened approximately 2 1/2 years later may 29, 2025, the car once again lost engine power at an intersection. Driver, again ,was in a fortunate position to glide off road from a right turn lane. If driver had been in left lanes going speed (55) this would not have ended as well. The car would not restart. Car was towed to dealership. The dealership confirmed that this was a known issue and there was a TSB out. However, there are no kits available to fix it at the moment. And we have no time frame for getting our car back and they have not provided a loaner. The vehicle has only been inspected by the Hyundai dealership. There were absolutely no warnings before either incidents. However, once the car was in possession at the dealership, we received a phone call from Hyundai bluelink saying we had a powertrain issue, which did not make sense since our car had been sitting for two weeks unserviced. If this was related to the same issue they were at least two weeks late. Dealership did not confirm powertrain issue or how anything would be resolved.

Other Fuel System problem #39

Engine started idling rough, loss of power. Trouble codes show misfiring in cylinder 4, believed to be from faulty fuel injectors.

Other Fuel System problem #40

While driving home on the freeway in stop-go traffic, the check engine light suddenly came on. At idle and low speed, the engine ran very rough with lots of vibration and acceleration became difficult. I got off the freeway as soon as possible to take surface streets as I felt unsafe continuing to drive on the freeway. The car continued to vibrate significantly. This happened very close to home and I was able to get home but slowly. When the car cooled down I checked the fluid levels - oil was fine and clear but coolant level was low despite a recent service where a coolant flush was performed and the coolant level was at the minimum level indicated by the reservoir. The dealer performed a test and the fuel injector unit for cylinder 3 failed. Apparently there is no observable coolant leak. The car is now awaiting repair under warranty, but the part is not available for 8 weeks. The dealer intends to replace the failed injector when the part arrives.

Other Fuel System problem #41

On may 20, 2025, at approximately 76,100 miles, I attempted to open the fuel filler door on my 2022 Hyundai Tucson and found that it would not release. The car was unlocked and parked, but the fuel door remained stuck. I eventually managed to open it only after a frenzied random sequence of repeatedly pressing the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob while simultaneously pressing on the fuel door. The mechanism finally released after many attempts, but it was inconsistent and unreliable. A second incident occurred on may 26, 2025 at 76,460 miles when I needed to refuel. While I was not stranded, the experience was frustrating and concerning — especially since the vehicle does not appear to have any kind of manual emergency fuel door release. If this issue occurred while low on fuel or far from help, it could lead to a significant inconvenience or hazard. I brought the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership on may 28, 2025 and demonstrated the problem to a service advisor. The advisor that assisted me was unaware of the problem and could not find a recall or technical service bulletin (TSB). Since it is past the 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, I was told the issue would not be covered; I would have to pay out of pocket. However, I’ve read about other 2022/2023 Tucson owners experiencing similar failures, suggesting a possible design flaw in the fuel door actuator or latch assembly. I believe this should be reviewed as a potential defect. Consistent failures of a basic refueling mechanism across multiple vehicles should be taken seriously.

Other Fuel System problem #42

Fuel injector failure. Vehicle misfired at startup. When attempting to accelerate, vehicle was hesitating and couldn’t. Towed to dealer and they were able to recreate the issue and place code reader on vehicle to find injector problem. Dealer states that Hyundai is revamping all fuel injectors, not just replacing with current supply on faulty injectors. Car will be at dealer for unknown period of time due to nationwide parts supply shortage.

Other Fuel System problem #43

Faulty injectors, engine was shaking, sluggish acceleration, possibly fuel mixed into the oil, check engine light on for cylinder misfires.

Other Fuel System problem #44

In Dec. 2023 my car stopped dead in the middle of the road. After being towed to abc Hyundai in las vegas they had to replace a fuel injector and I was told it could occur again on [xxx] the car began sputtering and shaking. When I bought it in I was told it was the fuel injector. I was told that Hyundai no longer changes just the one injector as they did before but now Hyundai has a complete kit. There was none at the dealership so it was ordered on sat may 17 and told it would be in on tues may20 but now I'm told it's back ordered. They are supposed to give a loaner but non available. I cannot be without a car as I live alone and need a car. I called corporate customer service today may 22 but the won't get back to me for several days. I was told by dealer service to rent a car and I would get reimbursed but corporate said that it would be at my discretion. My car has 14700 miles information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6.

Other Fuel System problem #45

Fuel injectors fail at 26k miles.

Other Fuel System problem #46

While merging onto [xxx] in southington, CT, the vehicle would not accelerate past 25 mph which is very dangerous for merging onto an interstate highway. Luckily, my wife was able to safely pull over onto the shoulder. We shut the vehicle off for a minute, restarted it, and have had no problems since. There were no warnings, and no check engine indicator was displayed. I'll contact the dealer this month at a regular maintenance visit. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Other Fuel System problem #47

At only 35k miles. Check engine display with heavy vibration due to misfire faulty fuel injectors. Repair took one month. Seems like Hyundai is not taking any action for this common safty issue.

Other Fuel System problem #48

While driving in dallas the engine seemed to have problems. We ended up pulling over and having the vehicle towed to a Hyundai dealer in arlington TX where we live because we were concerned the vehicle was unsafe to drive and could stall out on a freeway. The dealer informed us they needed to replace the fuel injectors at a cost of approximately $1800. The vehicle has approx 60,000 miles and we also purchased an extended warranty. Apparently no warranties cover this issue according to the dealer. It seems Hyundai should take some responsibility for this defect which could be potentially dangerous when driving the vehicle with these known issues.

Other Fuel System problem #49

The fuel injectors are bad. When the first fuel injector failed, the Hyundai mechanic stated that the remainder of fuel injectors would also fail but they could not proactively replace them. Two fuel injectors have failed in the matter of 6 months and it’s expected the last two will follow suit.

Other Fuel System problem #50

Vehicle began shaking upon starting and was not accelerating properly. Engine light came on and a warning appeared on the led screen to take care to dealer immediately. Upon inspection by the dealer, the problem was determined to be a faulty fuel injector (on Thursday 3/20). The part is not kept in stock at the dealer and was ordered from the warehouse for delivery the next day (Friday 3/21). I should have had the car repaired and returned to me by end of day 3/21 or next day, Saturday 3/22. I called after not receiving an update on Friday and was told the part is on backorder. When the problem was diagnosed on 3/20, at the Hyundai dealer service department, the employee in the service department admitted that this was a common problem with the tuscon and that no recall had been issued. He also said that the car is not drivable until the issue is fixed. A quick google search showed that is very much a serious and common issue. I also appears that once one goes out, the rest will start to need to be replaced and are being done as they break, rather than replacing them all and/or fixing what is causing them to be faulty. I was told they have no idea when the parts will be ready. It clearly is a common problem if they do not have the parts readily available to fix my vehicle. In addition, he added it may take up to several weeks. The car just turned 3 years old and has 34,000 miles on it. I have never had such a bad issue with any new care I have owned. There was absolutely no indication anything was wrong on prior drives before starting up the car. I had just driven it 260 miles to my daughter's college and back. Thank goodness it didn't happen on the busy highway or on one of the country roads in the middle of cornfields. The dealer service employee said the broken part would be "sent for inspection" once they have it off and a new part available.

Other Fuel System problem #51

Fuel injectors failed. It's been 3 weeks and it hasn't been fixed yet. It is still under warranty. But it's been 3 weeks.

Other Fuel System problem #52

1-- fuel injector failed 11/2023 one month to replace it, 2-- fuel injector failed 3/2025 in dealer, 3-- fuel door does not open, replaced by dealer 3/2025.

Other Fuel System problem #53

Fuel injectors failed. I was left on the side of a rural road for 2. 5 hours waiting on a tow truck. No warning lights came on until my car was dead. I was told the injectors (4 of them) had failed by the dealership service center. This vehicle is still under warranty.

Other Fuel System problem #54

Fuel injector failure. Sudden loss of engine power creates a major safety issue when traveling at speed on highways or especially busy interstate highways. Vehicle was towed to dealer and repaired under warranty promptly. This is a known issue with this and other Hyundai models and all four fuel injectors should be replaced. At present, Hyundai only authorizes one be replaced at a time as they malfunction.

Other Fuel System problem #55

2022 to Hyundai tuscon now with the third cylinder misfire due to faulty fuel injector. This can be inspected upon request. Upon second occurrence, requested all cylinders be replaced and advised could not do this under warranty. Second filing to NHTSA. This incident put myself and other drivers at risk. I was driving on a highway and the cylinder misfire occurred resulting in check engine light and vehicle going into limp mode and inability to drive more than 30-40 mph. The entire vehicle violently shakes and loses power with this misfire. In the previous occurrences , could not accelerate beyond 20 mph. I could have been rear ended or caused a serious accident on the highway as a result of Hyundai faulty fuel injectors and cylinder misfires. My vehicle has now been seen 3x for the same issue and replaced by dealer. There were no warning signs prior to the failure of the fuel injector resulting in cylinder misfire and loss of power and inability to accelerate. This is a very dangerous faulty component of this year make and model- it is a known issue. Still no recall. I have a "new" car that puts me in danger every 4-6 months when I lose power in my vehicle with no warning or cause except from faulty parts. This faulty part is going to cause serious injuries/accidents if it is not addressed.

Other Fuel System problem #56

Car was driving fine. Started sputtering and died, unable to restart. No prior warning injectors will fail. Known fuel injector problem with model years found and replaced. Hyundai TSB 25-FL-001h used.

Other Fuel System problem #57

My 2022 Tucson's fuel injectors for the first cylinders have failed, creating a misfires in cylinder one.

Other Fuel System problem #58

Lost acceleration while driving on the freeway and car started shaking with check engine light on. Took the car to the dealer for diagnostic and was informed that #4 injector failed causing the engine to misfire. This was the 3rd fuel injector failing in 5 months. Per my service advisor, Hyundai released an updated TSB (25-FL-001h) in January 2025 with a 4 new fuel injector replacement kit. Unfortunately, this injector kit was so new that I had to drive a service rental car for a week waiting for the kit to arrive. Let's see if these new fuel injectors will last longer than the old ones.

Other Fuel System problem #59

While driving on the highway, I attempted to accelerate up to 70 mph and the check engine light came on and the front end of the car started shaking. Had to pull over and restart the car to continue safely. This has happened four separate times at different mileage variables and each time they replace 2-3 of my fuel injectors with no explanation as to what is causing them to constantly blow. They never make it even 1000 miles before at least one goes out again. My vehicle is approaching 52,000 miles and has been serviced four times for this since December 2023. This needs to be a vehicle recall as the warranty will not pay for this forever and the underlying cause of the problem is not being addressed by Hyundai.

Other Fuel System problem #60

Within the first year of purchase, my power train system has beeb throwing codes. I took it to the dealership where they assured me nothing was wrong. My fuel injectors then gave out. The dealership replaced them and told me “yes these things are faulty and we see it a lot”. After replacing it, they did not seal the fuel injectors, causing gas to gush out and set my car to smoke. I was ill from inhaling gas fumes for days. They took accountability and said that the injectors were defective in the vehicles and that they would once again fix it. I am not experiencing further engine issues which they do not know how to diagnose. My car is a 2022 purchase from the lot. The engine is defective and Hyundai is negligent. They admitted they were aware of the injector issue but didn’t do much to correct this. After corrected, they almost had my car set on fire from fuel pouring on the engine.

Other Fuel System problem #61

This problem has happened 4 times in the last two months. After about 15 minutes of either moving very slowly, or being parked and idling, the engine does not start when the gas pedal is pressed. The car accelerates as normal since it is in ev mode, giving the driver the impression the car is operating properly. After driving around 1/4 mile the car loses drive power very quickly - full speed to zero in several seconds - because the car is in ev (battery) mode only. This sudden loss of power twice occurred in traffic, which increased the risk of an accident. Fortunately the car was not running at highway speeds and the car was pulled over safely despite the traffic. After the car lost all drive power, the warning “check hybrid system“ appeared on the instrument cluster. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms prior to the problem occurring. Twice a dealer was unable to reproduce or confirm this problem. An independent service center also could not reproduce or confirm this problem. The vehicle is available for inspection, but has not been inspected other than the dealer and the service center.

Other Fuel System problem #62

In December 2024, the engine lost power while driving. We were able to pull over on a busy road, where we were blocking traffic on a curve. We had it towed to the dealership. There was no warning or light indicating any problem. Thankfully we were not on the freeway when this occurred. The Hyundai app said that all systems in the vehicle were normal. The fuel injector was replaced by Hyundai. Now, 4 months later, the check engine light came on. I took it to the dealership, and another fuel injector needed to be replaced. The service manager stated that he requested that all of the fuel injectors be replaced because this is a known issue, but Hyundai denied the request, so they only replaced one fuel injector. I am expecting this to happen again, and I am especially worried that the vehicle could lose power while driving on the freeway. Please note that this vehicle was purchased new, and I have had all the scheduled maintenance performed at the Hyundai dealership.

Other Fuel System problem #63

My 2022 Hyundai tuscon is in the shop for a second time due to a bad fuel injector. The first time was 4 months ago. My vehicle's check engine light went on and it went into "limp mode" on a major roadway. (I take all major highways to work. ) a vehicle going into "limp mode" on a highway is super dangerous. My check engine light went on once again, and I brought it into the dealership service center. I left it there for 36 hours, only to learn that they did not have the parts on site to do the repairs. I have to bring it back for another 24-36 hours for the repair to be completed on a second bad fuel injector. How Hyundai hasn't issued a recall for the fuel injectors yet is appalling.

Other Fuel System problem #64

This is the 3rd time that my 2yr old tuscon failed and had to be towed in a 4 month period. I was at a light and when it turned green, the vehicle barely moved when I pressed on the accelerator. I was only able to drive a few feet and pulled over and had to have it towed again. They are only replacing the fuel injectors as they fail!!.

Other Fuel System problem #65

The fuel injection system has failed 3 times now causing the car to become slow/sluggish while driving (sudden slow down and lurching). This is a known issue with the car per https://static. Nhtsa. Gov/odi/tsbs/2022/mc-10225470-0001. Pdf. Each time, the dealer has stated it's a known issue that's not covered by warranty or recall. Each time, the technician has stated that they are unsure why it hasn't been recalled given the prevalence of the issue and the risk of causing an accident.

Other Fuel System problem #66

This 2022 Hyundai Tucson stalled in the middle of a busy highway with my wife in the vehicle. The car suddenyly stalled while going 75mph and she was almost killed and got rear ended. Later we were informed by the dealership that there is a inherent issue with the fuel injection system on these vehicles and the fuel injector has gone bad. These people only replaced the faulty injector. Two months back another injector went bad and then I researched and found this is a bad engineering issue. Now Hyundai is trying to hide behind the veil of texas leamon law and is not taking any responsibility or buying back the vehicle. Hyundai forums are full of this problem and many people avoided near death experience because of the stall. I can provide reditt and Hyundai forum urls for reference if required.

Other Fuel System problem #67

While on a trip my wife started out leaving the hotel as normal. After a minute of so, we lost the ability to accelerate as if the tuscon was not responding to the gas pedal. We were lucky we were in town so we pulled into a gas station and turned off the truck. I thought it might be bad gas so we filled the tank with hi-test and turned off several features that are related to speed control (like tracking the speed limit etc. ) I have noticed at the same time we lost the isg system (idle stop and go). The indication in the owner's manual points to a battery function that detects the battery is fully charged. I used a voltmeter and the battery reads 12. 5v and is charging at 14v. See today's recall for Hyundai vehicles, I think the problem involves a lot more vehicles. If you check the Hyundai forum, there are a lot of complaints on Tucson as well. I hope you take this into consideration when looking into this intergrated charging control issue.

Other Fuel System problem #68

I’ve experienced repeated electrical and mechanical issues with my 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid. These include full battery drainage without engine activation (leaving me stranded), multiple warning lights, and recently a heater failure that remains unresolved. I’ve had over 8 service visits in two years, and Hyundai has not responded to my formal letter. A detailed timeline is available if needed.

Other Fuel System problem #69

2 months ago our engine control system warning light came on with a great decrease in speed while driving on the freeway. Brought to Hyundai dealership and was determined that fuel injector 1 misfired and needed replacement. Just last week exact same issue in fuel injector 4 occurred. They admitted issues with 2022 tuscon injectors but won’t replace until they fail as no recall. This is a massive safety issue as can be driving at a high rate of speed and speed slows immediately.

Other Fuel System problem #70

Running lean on bank 1-dealership states it is a bad fuel injector on cylinder 1says it is not covered under 100,000 mile warranty. Vehicle currently at 80,000 mile. Radio in vehicle is restarting itself and not shutting off when car is turned off. Radio does not respond to commands such as volume adjustment. Dealership performed software update, but it did not work.

Other Fuel System problem #71

Here we go again. Last time the #3 fuel injector failed while driving on the freeway. Car started shaking and lost acceleration with "check engine" warning light on. Two months later, #2 fuel injector failed while driving on the street with same symptoms as last time. Fortunately, both incidents did not cause any accident but was terrifying. I requested the Hyundai service dealer replace the remaining fuel injectors and again, was informed that Hyundai will only authorize them to replace a defective injector when it's failed. I do not understand Hyundai's logical thinking. Hyundai is fully aware of this issue and have already sent out tsbs. Are they waiting for someone to be in an accident and have major bodily injury caused by defective fuel injectors before taking this matter seriously? I will also address this matter to Hyundai corporation for a response.

Other Fuel System problem #72

Check engine light and error message popped up on screen "a possible condition with your engine control system has been detected. A full system check is recommended to be done when convenient. Please contact your local dealership to schedule an appointment. " roughly 46500 miles. Contacted bluelink and they could not help because dealerships were already closed.

Other Fuel System problem #73

Fuel injector failure while driving at highway speeds to only have the car lose power and becoming a danger while attempting to get off the highway. The fuel injectors are a regular problem with this year, make, and model vehicle. The warning lamps didn’t come on until after loss of power. This is the second time that this has happened. First time was on July 12,2024. .

Other Fuel System problem #74

Fuel injector went out while I was driving to work approximately 5,000 miles later, I was driving home from work and another fuel injector went out. Both times I had to have my car towed to the dealership. They said that was a recall on fuel injector but only could fix the one that went out each time. I am nervous about the next time it goes out. Where will I be and will it be dark and unsafe. I have been a loyal Hyundai car owner. I am now thinking about not purchasing another Hyundai and selling my tuscon. Customer service and making sure customers are placed in a safe car at all times is very important. Hyundai failed this time.

Other Fuel System problem #75

September 15, 2024 while driving with cruise control set at 65mpg, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson began shaking and experienced an abrupt loss of power. I released the cruise control, and the vehicle wouldn't accelerate over 45 mph without shaking severely. September 16, 2024 car was inspected by a dealership and determined it was the 4th cylinder fuel injector; mileage on the vehicle was 45,314. Repairs were made per a TSB p030x. January 27, 2025, while driving with cruise control at 60mph, the same thing happened again. Managed to get the car to another dealership, only to find out all 4 fuel injectors needed to be replaced; this time with a TSB 25-FL-001h kit; mileage was 50181. Approximately March 11, 2025 car started the same issue, only this time there was no abrupt shaking or loss of power, however very strong smell of fumes. I refused to park the car in my garage, and immediately called Hyundai USA with all of this information from the start of these issues until current. The car was then taken to another dealership with mileage at 51332, only a difference of 1151 miles since last issue. This time all of the fuel injector seals are melted. Hyundai USA refuses to do anything about it. It was verified with the service technician this last time, that raw fuel was leaking onto the hot engine and could have resulted in the car catching on fire. The first two times this happened, I was out of state while being broken down.

Other Fuel System problem #76

Fuel injector failure. Utc code po030300 detected at 27500 miles. Car is shaky and loss of power in idle. Code showing on infortainment screen. Taken to dealership on 9/17/24 with appointment and vehicle was not "diagnosed" until 9/19/24. From loss of power, with children in car it is a safety issue.

Other Fuel System problem #77

The check hybrid system light came on just after I tried to accelerate from a complete stop and I had no acceleration. I had the accelerator pushed to the floor and I got no response and was not able to accelerate two different times within 5 minutes of one another. I was in traffic unable to accelerate. I took it to the dealer and they were unable to find anything wrong and told me to bring it back if it happened again.

Other Fuel System problem #78

I had 2 fuel injectors fail on my car within a 3 week period. The car is only 2. 5 yrs old and has 48,500mi on it both instances where when I was on a highway. I had the 1st fuel injector fail on [xxx] and then the 2nd one failed about 3 weeks later on [xxx]. When the 2nd fuel injector failed, I was barely able to drive the car to a safe place to get it towed. I spoke with a Hyundai corp case worker and I asked why they didn't just replace the remaining 2 fuel injectors. Her response was that they don't replace them when they fail. I now have a 2 year old car that I am afraid to drive because I never know where or when it will leave me stranded. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Other Fuel System problem #79

August 26, 2024, (and again on 4/10/2025. . . I will file that complaint separately) I experienced very rough engine performance and I could not throttle or go faster than 20 mph without the engine seriously rattling. In August under warranty a fuel injector was replaced, and now again in April 2025 the same problem again. Twice I was on a major highway but was luck to be able to get off so as not to cause an accident.

Other Fuel System problem #80

Without warning the car started misfiring while I was driving around town. It continued and became worse. I was in wisconsin on vacation with the closest Hyundai dealer over an hour away. Mileage was 62416 and I had the tires replaced two weeks prior to leaving and while there I explained I would be driving from virginia to wisconsin and asked they let me know if the vehicle needed any service. I took it to a local shop to see if it was something easily repaired and was told it was probably a fuel injector and I should take it to the dealership as it may be under warranty. So I had to have it towed and rent a car. According to the dealership the warranty for the fuel injectors ended at 60000 miles.

Other Fuel System problem #81

I was driving the car home on 8/20/24 at roughly 50 mph, and I felt this brief bucking motion with the vehicle and a loss of power to the motor. The vehicle did not fully shut down and continued to drive, but it struggled when trying to accelerate. When I got home, I checked the engine code through myhyundai, which showed code p219cf0. I reached out to the dealership, leaving multiple voicemails, and after over a week of trying to get them on the phone, I went in person and scheduled an appointment for them to service the vehicle on 8/28. They were not able to see the vehicle until 9/3/24, and after talking with the service manager and reviewing my car history, they were confident it was another injector; he was ordering the parts because he said he didn't have any, and it would take a bit to get them. The car went in on 9/3 as planned, and they called to confirm that cylinder 1 had an air-fuel ratio imbalance and that the gdi injector had failed. They had gotten in the injector but did not have the high press pipe needed to go along with it, and they would have the pipe in by 9/6. I'm unsure when the pipe arrived, but I called in mid-afternoon on 9/9/24, and they were wrapping up my vehicle and that it would be ready shortly. They performed the standard 34-point inspection on the vehicle and did not find further issues. I reached back out to Hyundai motors America as I had reached out to them after my second injector failed; at the time, they were unwilling to replace the remaining injectors proactively. I've now opened my second case with Hyundai motors America. I am communicating through email now, and I do not believe Hyundai is willing to replace the final fuel injector proactively, even though the vehicle only has one original injector remaining, and based on the bulletin Hyundai has out, the chances are pretty good it will soon fail too.

Other Fuel System problem #82

My service advisor said that another fuel injector would probably go out but it wouldnt be covered under warranty until the car stalled. I am planning to move to idaho from texas for college so I spent $840 for new fuel injectors. The engine was pulsating and lost power multiple times. Definitely not what I was expecting to spend on a 2 year old car.

Other Fuel System problem #83

On August 13, 2024, while merging onto the freeway with a driving speed of around 45mph, my car suddenly lost acceleration and started shaking. Seconds later, the "check engine" warning indicator light came on as well. I slowly got off the freeway still without acceleration power and found a safe place to park the car. I contacted Hyundai roadside assistance to request a towing service to the Hyundai dealer. I left the car at the dealer overnight and contacted the service advisor the next day. The service advisor stated that one of the fuel injectors was defective and will be replaced under the warranty. After researching online, defective fuel injectors for my car are a well known issue from the public and Hyundai service departments (2 related tsbs were issued in October 2022 and March 2023). Incredulously, per the service advisor, Hyundai will only replace the defective fuel injector one at a time. Nhtsa should demand Hyundai to recall all affected vehicles listed in the tsbs to replace all fuel injectors at the same time (defective or not) to prevent another sudden acceleration power loss, which may cause a major traffic accident and great bodily harm.

Other Fuel System problem #84

Twice in 2 months the fuel injectors have went out on my vehicle. It causes the car to start shaking uncontrollably and lose power when hitting the gas almost causing a crash. First injector was injector 3 may 2024 and today 8/10/24 injector 4 went out.

Other Fuel System problem #85

Vehicle suddenly unable to accelerate. Engine shuddered & produced a burning smell until we could safely pull over. Towed to dealership where diagnostics showed faulty fuel injector & they replaced 1 gdi fuel injector per TSB 23-FL-002h-1.

Other Fuel System problem #86

2022 Hyundai Tucson with repeated check engine light and vehicle losing power. Vehicle losing power and inability to exceed speeds of 15 mph with vehicle shaking, knocking, and pedals shaking. No warning that this was going to occur until vehicle becomes unsafe to drive. This has happened twice and one of which was on a high way which created an incredibly unsafe situation. First time diagnostic code was p0303 which was a cylinder 3 misfire and second time - less than 4 months later- diagnostic code was a p0302 cylinder 2 misfire. Hyundai only repairs one injector at a time; refusing to do all 4 despite being a heavily documented issue on this make/model. This would be able to be confirmed by request. This was also confirmed both times by two separate independent service centers. Vehicle has about 25,000 miles on it and has had 3 check engine lights over the past 3 years of owning- it was bought new. The first time was 2 days of owning and it was a bad iat that resulted in engine stalling once again. All 3 times the car was unable to be driven and created substantial safety concerns with inability to drive.

Other Fuel System problem #87

At 37,430 mileage while driving on the interstate our vehicle check engine light came on, shortly after, our vehicle began to shake, and would stall if our rpm fell below 2000, placing us at a serious safety risk of breaking down and causing an accident on the interstate driving 80 mph. We were 290 miles from the nearest Hyundai service department, and managed to make it without breaking down. After inspecting our vehicle, the service department reported that our fuel injector for cylinder two needed replacing, but that it would take 3 business days to order the part, leaving us stranded 1600 miles from home for 6 days in total. On our way back home, at around 38,800 mileage, our check engine light came back on and are car began to shake and stall if our rpm fell below 2000 (same as before) while driving on the interstate. We were 140 miles from the nearest Hyundai service department and still 800 miles from home, leaving us stranded once again. The service department replaced our fuel injector for cylinder 1, and confirmed that this is a known issue for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson, but that Hyundai refuses to replace the fuel injectors until they go bad. This is extremely unsafe, and we still have two fuel injectors that will likely need replacing.

Other Fuel System problem #88

Fuel injectors have failed three times now. Each time they have replaced a single injector and told me the issue is fixed. Once one is fixed, the other goes shortly after. The vehicle enters limp mode with a check engine light, making it extremely dangerous to try and drive the vehicle, especially on entering the highways. The problem has been confirmed by the dealership, and TSB 23-FL-002h-1 shows they are aware of the issue. I have not had it inspected by the manufacturer (other than technicians at the dealership) or any other entity. This issue has happened twice this year, once in March, and this July as well.

Other Fuel System problem #89

Fuel injector failure in fuel injector #2 Hyundai is aware of the issue and has a technical service bulletin. Hyundai only replaced the one fuel injector in November of 2023. July of 2024 failure in fuel injector #3 and they are now replacing all remaining fuel injectors. I have opened up a complaint with corporate Hyundai and I’m awaiting a response. This failure caused my engine to misfire and a loss in acceleration causing the car to be unsafe to drive.

Other Fuel System problem #90

On 5/27/24, my check engine light came on and the vehicle stayed to shimmy and shake each time I would press on the gas. Had the vehicle towed to the dealer for the #4 fuel injector assembly to be replaced. The same thing happened on 7/16/24 while traveling out of state. I was traveling on a highway and had to keep my emergency flashers on as I tried to coax the car to the next exit. Couldn't go above 25-30 mph. Had vehicle towed to a dealer for the #2 fuel injector assembly to be replaced. Now I am again without a vehicle because on 7/26/24, the same thing happened and I was told it is the #1 fuel injector. I was told by 2 different dealers that this is a known Hyundai Tucson issue but they are only allowed to replace what is coming up with an error code. They are not permitted to change all of the assemblies at one time, even though it would save them and Hyundai corporate quite a bit of money in the long term. They've now paid to tow my car 3 times, paid workers 3 times the amount of money to replace what could've and should've been done the first time. The dealer was going to try to get the #3 assembly replaced now but there is no guarantee. I'm afraid that I'll have to be back there in another week or two for the last one. This is a serious issue that is not being addressed.

Other Fuel System problem #91

Car lost power as I was entering fast traffic area. Acceleration became unresponsive and vehicle came to halt. Would not move there after. Had it occurred a few seconds later I would’ve found myself unable to accelerate in an acceleration lane, or shortly after merging potentially causing injury to myself and others. After getting the issue diagnosed by Hyundai it is apparently a faulty fuel injectors. Researching online, this appears to be a known problem for the 2022 Hyundai Tucson with many claiming they were left stranded on highways, at intersections and during snow fall. In general this issue makes owners fearful to drive their cars. Apparently, this may be caused by a bad batch of injectors but to my knowledge Hyundai only replaces known bad injectors instead of replacing all injectors from the faulty batch. Due to this many experience multiple failures in short periods in short periods of time, increasing risk of safety incidents. My vehicle’s failed at approximately 22k miles but others have reported failures much sooner.

Other Fuel System problem #92

(2) fuel injectors failed while driving on the highway. This is a know issue with Hyundai, but no recall has been issued. The warranty would have covered it up to 60k miles. My odometer was at 60,232.

Other Fuel System problem #93

The first incident was on 5/27/24 when I was traveling about 45 mph. The check engine light came on and the car started to shimmy and shake when I pressed the gas. Error code came up on the screen for p0304, injector #4 was bad. Had the vehicle towed to the closest dealer for warranty repair and was told this is a known issue but no recall has been placed. Then on 7/16/24, same thing happened while traveling out of town. Hyundai app was down so couldn't get an error code. Again had the vehicle towed to a dealer and this code was p0302, #2 injector was bad. Obviously there is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. Need to know if this is a permanent fix or if the other 2 will go out soon. I attached a photo of this report and can also get a copy of the one from may as needed.

Other Fuel System problem #94

Car lunched from a traveling in traffic 50+ mph to 39 mph and then had to push the pedal to the floor to get it off the highway and on the side during 5 o'clock traffic. Said something about the hybrid battery and went dead. Dealer has had it for 11 days and still can't get it started. Apparently there are three batteries in relation to this hybrid and all 3 don't work and never seen this before. Since it's been at the dealer, Hyundai has emailed me no less than 3 times that I need to check my lights because my battery is getting low all the while it has been completely dead and they don't even know it. Suffice to say, there was no warning other than a couple of miles prior, my car lunched down to the 39 mph and I lunged on the gas and it picked back up again but it wouldn't do it a 2d time. They obviously still don't know about the vehicle being so dead 2 different tow trucks had to be called because even the tires were locked up. Just still receiving my messages I need to check my lights because my battery (not batteries multiple) is low and it's not low, theyre all 3 dead. I was in a dangerous situation and always felt safe in a 2 yr old car with a full tank and hybrid battery backup and less than. 20k miles. If ever fixed because service may have to send out of state I will never buy a hyandai or hybrid again. The entire battery system broke down. Which killed the entire electrical system which now no one knows how to fix.

Other Fuel System problem #95

Fuel injectors failed while driving on parkway. Car lost power(would not go over 25mph) without notice. Not fun driving at 60mph then abrutly go to 25mph on left lane cars behind me nearly hit my car and could have caused a major pileup. There was no warning prior to losing power and check engine lights came on maybe 2 minutes later. Was able to get to right lane and exit parkway to a secure location to have car towed to dealership. Dealership replaced the fuel injectors.

Other Fuel System problem #96

The hybrid system flashes "check hybrid system" then the check engine and check hev lights are illuminated. The vehicle loses power and even with the gas pedal pushed firmly to the floor the engine isn't producing power. This is a safety issue because I've lost power while driving on busy roads and can't clear the intersection, etc. This was reproduced at the dealership and Hyundai is performing a warranty replacement of the "hybrid system". I wanted to make NHTSA aware of the issue because on the Hyundai forums I'm seeing similar reports made. There is an open campaign to update the software for the hybrid system, 9b4, but this software update did not fix the issue.

Other Fuel System problem #97

Fuel injector failure on 02/2024. Fuel injector failure on 06/2024. Both times car lost power and started shaking. Hyundai service center will only replace one at a time. Car only has 28k miles.

Other Fuel System problem #98

I had gone out with my vehicle for an errand, and it was running fine. When I finished, I came back into the vehicle and started it up, and it was shaking tremendously on startup. I turned off the car, started it back on, and it started fine. I got about 300 feet from where I was going, not even ten mph, and the vehicle started shaking the same as minutes before; this time, a check engine light came on. I immediately parked it in a safe spot and called for roadside assistance. The dealership that serviced the vehicle informed me the dtc code was p030400, meaning the fuel injector for cylinder 4 had failed. It was luckily replaced promptly. This was the second gdi injector that had been replaced on the vehicle. Unfortunately, I was told there was a service bulletin on the problem and that the dealership was seeing a lot of this problem. I contacted Hyundai motors America directly to try proactively to get the remaining two injectors replaced. Still, I was told that because there was no current issue with the injectors, they would be unable to provide any assistance proactively. The vehicle had 35645 miles on the motor when this incident occurred.

Other Fuel System problem #99

A faulty fuel injector caused my tuscon to lose all acceleration while I was in the passing lane of a 4-lane highway going 75mpg. A check engine light came on and it just bricked itself. I had to glide through 3 lanes almost causing a wreck. We were on a family vacation with our [xxx] daughter in the back seat and we had to wait over 2 hours in the blazing heat for a tow. The dealership said there is a known problem with the fuel injectors in these suvs. I can't believe there isn't yet a recall for these fuel injectors. I'm concerned someone is going to get hurt because of this very fixable problem. Thanks for the help. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Other Fuel System problem #100

Other Fuel System problem #101

Nhtsa complaint on Sunday, March 10th 2024 our 2022 Hyundai Tucson with 2. 5l engine started missing in one of the cylinders. It did not disable the vehicle and it ran like that for several blocks until we could pullover to safety. At this time there were no warning lights of any kind. It wasn’t until I turned the car off, checked the oil (which was good), started the car again and did a lap around the parking lot that the check engine light came on. So there were no warnings. We dropped the car off at our local Hyundai service center that night so it could be checked first thing the next day. It turned out that it was a bad spark plug and injector. At that point it was no big deal. We chalked it up to a fluke. We received the car back on Thursday, March 14th with the explanation of what happened and that it was replaced under warranty. There were no recommendations made upon pick up. Exactly 2 weeks later on Thursday, March 28th, the car lost all power while traveling 60mph in the middle lane of the interstate. Again, there were no warning or diagnostic lights coming on. It was pure luck that there was minimal traffic and other drivers were paying attention as the car came to a complete stop in the middle of the highway in order to be restarted and it refused to accelerate above 20mph in order to limp to the shoulder and get to safety. Over an hour later and stopping and starting the car in a parking lot, the check engine light finally came on. The engine was running worse this time. The car had to be towed this time to the service center. After being checked out it was another spark plug and a fouled fuel injector. Researching online showed that this is a very common issue with Hyundai fuel injectors between 12,000 and 25,000 miles. There are currently no technical service bulletins or recalls warning owners of this common failure and potentially losing power traveling at high speeds. Research showed there have been 3 collisions caused by this exact issue to date.

Other Fuel System problem #102

While driving, my vehicle suddenly lost all power and didn't respond to the accelerator. The "check engine" and "hybrid system failure" lights came on, jeopardizing my safety and that of other road users. The car overheats significantly, to the extent that the air conditioning only blows hot air. This situation forced me to pull over on the highway shoulder, creating an additional risk for everyone involved in traffic.

Other Fuel System problem #103

Fuel injector failure on 02/2024. Fuel injector failure on 06/2024. Both times car lost power and started shaking. Hyundai service center will only replace one at a time. Car only has 28k miles.

Other Fuel System problem #104

My wife was with my aunt and driving at 70mph on pgbt highway and instant the check engine light come on and the car started smelling of burnt equipment and stalled. The cabin was filled with white smoke and the windows jammed as well. The car was stalled in the middle of the highway with traffic zooming past and severing to save us. This car put my family is a life threatening situation and I want that to be recorded. We use this vehicle for our family trips and it haunts me to think what it can do to my wife and kids. I have started a formal complaint with Hyundai corporate and the complaint number is 22494136. Also the car is with Hyundai dealership at address: 1301 n central expy, mckinney, TX 75070 (469) 525-4300) and I am yet to receive a diagnosis from them on what actually happened to the vehicle. Cops were called at the scene but a formal police report was not given.

Other Fuel System problem #105

This car has 36,000 miles, purchased new and serviced on schedule. The car is at the dealer for the third time since purchase. The first was a fuel injector issue/drivetrain error. The second time was a bad spark plug. The most current issue is another fuel injector. People on the internet have reported similar problems. The dealership has directed us to come get the car, which is unacceptable, because this is an engine error. I spoke to Hyundai customer car and they directed me to rent a car at my own cost and to not drive the car.

The car didn’t seem to smoothly respond to pressing the accelerator, but the issue resolved until it didn’t.

Other Fuel System problem #107

1st incident: merging on to the freeway car started to stall but was able to safely make it off the freeway at next exit. Less than 2 miles was unable to accelerate to properly merge on freeway. A slow merge & slow driving on to a freeway is extremely dangerous. 2nd incident: 6 months later, Nov. 2023. Driving about 65-70 mph on the freeway with my son, the car started to stall again. I was able to safely move from the 2nd lane, to the shoulder. Waited over 2 hours in the dark for aaa to safely move us. 1st time documented issues with Hyundai dealership. Fuel injector was main issue and was replaced. No check eng light. 3rd incident: may 2024 was driving about 75mph in the fast lane when the car stalled. I was unable to move fully out of the lane as the car just died. I was half in the shoulder and the fast lane. I was crying with fear while I had to wait for chp to move me. Multiple times feared other cars would hit me at 80mph+ while I waited 30mins+ for chp to stop traffic and move me to the shoulder. Took the car to the dealership for the second time to be "fixed" for the same issue as Nov. 2023. Fuel injector, and catalytic converter were "replaced". This now being the second time for the fuel injector issue. No check eng light. 4th incident: April 2026 driving on a school night home from dinner with my son at about 9:45pm. It was raining and was traveling at about 55mph on the highway. Car started to stall/ shut down again. Was able to go about15mph to a safe spot and waited for assistance late at night. This happened on a highway where people tend to drive recklessly and try to pass other vehicles which causes a lot of head on collisions, [xxx] . Vehicle was towed to Hyundai dealership for the 3rd time & 3rd time documented for the fuel injector and 2nd for the catalytic converter. The vehicle's main purpose is to safely transport and I've had nothing but nightmares and put in extremely dangerous situations with my son. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b.

In the last 4 months my vehicle has had 2 bad fuel injectors. In both instances my check engine light came in while I was driving down the road. The vehicle shuttered and could not accelerate. Luckily both times j was close to home and was able to turn around. This came with no warning. Both times, I had previously driven the car that day with no issues. When I went out for another trip, the vehicle then had an issue. I am concerned the fuel injectors for this vehicle/model may have a defect of some kind, as I have lost two in a very short amount of time. If this happened in a congested area or highway it could absolutely present a safety issue. The first incident occurred when the vehicle had about 59,000 miles on it.

Other Fuel System problem #109

While driving vehicle, car lost power and show down on highway. Car would not start. Eventually started and sputtered white smoke and the smell of fuel. Car would only go 2 miles and hour. Took to dealership and they said it was the fuel injector pump. No recall has been issued even though several other Hyundai and genesis I models have recalls for same issue.

Other Fuel System problem #110

I am dealing with my 3rd clogged fuel injector. My car lost power, starting shaking and wouldn’t accelerate. The engine light went on when it happened, not before. The first time I was on the highway, second time on a major thoroughfare. Not places where I could just pull over. Very scary. I got the first one fixed in 2023. This happened again a year later with a different fuel injector. I just got my car back 2 weeks ago and it is doing it again. I will have it towed but not to the dealer this time. They told me it wasn’t a problem with this car, until I called them out on it. Then she said she misunderstood. They are well aware of the problem. I can’t believe the dealer because they aren’t upfront about the problem. They didn’t even give me the paperwork this second time, just a receipt. I when I get this third one fixed, I will never be comfortable driving it.

Other Fuel System problem #111

While driving the check engine light comes on and the car loses power and starts running very ruff and almost stalls at times. This is the second time this has happen in 3 months, last time they replaced a fuel injector. I look up the problem and it seams to be common problem with the 2022 Hyundai Tucson.

Other Fuel System problem #112

Vehicle would not accelerate leaving driveway. Was bucking as I went down the street. At end of street when I tried to turn off it stopped as I accelerated and I was almost rear ended. I pulled over there were no warning lights on at all. I pulled out as I wanted to turn around and go home and it would not accelerate again. I was able to make it home. I looked up problem on line and it seems like I am not alone. As it is Sunday going to call dealer tomorrow but not expecting them to take it in soon as most appointments take over 1 month to get. I am very scared to drive my car.

Other Fuel System problem #113

On 9/3/23, driver was waiting at a stop sign to turn left. When driver accelerated into the highway, there was no power and the vehicle would only go 5-10 mph. Warning lights came on to check the hybrid system with the hev indicator light. Driver pulled over. Restarted car and engine was stuttering. Was able to drive a few miles to a safer location. Started car on 9/4/23, again it had a rough start. Driver waited until the vehicle sounded normal. The vehicle immediately lost power and could not accelerate when on the main road. Called Hyundai and they were unconcerned. We are in remote alaska, 250 miles from a dealership. Because it happened on a holiday weekend, we have been unable to contact the service department yet. Vehicle is available to be inspected. Safety is a huge risk because the car suddenly stops propelling forward. I'm afraid we will get rear-ended because of the sudden loss of power. It is a danger to ourselves and others. I'm also concerned that we will be stranded because the car has to be stopped when this occurs. We were supposed to be enjoying a trip for a week, and now we don't trust the vehicle and will likely need to go home early and lose hotel costs. This issue will wind up killing someone because there are reports that these Hyundais are stopping in the middle of the highway. Please hold Hyundai accountable.

Other Fuel System problem #114

Driving on hwy 24 about 6 weeks ago car started missing badly. Engine light came on had to pull off hwy almost got rear ended. Waited for roadside assistance over 2 hours was 110 degrees outside. Called hyandai road side assistance they said another 2 hours. We called dealer they said to just try driving it to dealer. They had car 2 weeks finally figured out had bad fuel injector car had 22000 miles. We got car back still didn't run right. Three weeks later same thing happened they had for one week different fuel injector bad. This time broke down with grandkids in car. There is service bulletin for the problem. Very unhappy care very unsafe to drive.

Other Fuel System problem #115

The car shook and then lights and alarms went off indicating something went wrong with the hybrid system. The car stopped accelerating, would shake, and then accelerated no more than 10 mph. It was absolutely crazy! luckily, the highway that I was traveling on was not a busy one at the time because all I thought was this could have been a major accident if on a fast moving freeway. I managed to pull over and started reading online about this issue occurring with other customers who purchased the same or similar vehicle. So, I found a post and had shut the car off for 5 minutes, then restart and sit for 10 minutes, and then the car should work. It did! however, during the time of waiting I did reach out to the dealership and they said if the car is working there is nothing they could do. So, I assumed it was safe to use travel to work for a meeting and set up my classroom for the start of the new school year. On my way home from school, the issue happened again. I immediately contacted the dealership and was able to get the car to them. They started running diagnostic tests and currently have the vehicle on hand. However, I don't really feel safe now with this car given the circumstances. What if this should happen again? what if this happens to me or someone else who is traveling on a busy highway and it causes injury or even death to an accident. The engine light came on, battery light flickered on and off, the car shook, the car's hev system warning was going off, etc. Please help and look into this matter. I do not have any documentation of repair as the car currently sits at the dealership, but I was so upset thinking about what could have happened and felt the need to report the issue.

Other Fuel System problem #117

I have a 2022 Hyundai Tucson with about 15k miles on it. I have had it serviced twice for oil changes and the recommended manufacture recommended maintenance. However, I have noticed a significant loss in power upon acceleration with this vehicle. My new car drives very rough and this is a safety issue due to the fact when entering the interstate, the car will not increase speed as requested putting myself and others on the road in danger. Additionally, simple maneuvers like turning into cross traffic are of concern because the vehicle doesn't respond to acceleration when accelerating from 0mph as well as in stop and go traffic. There are no engine lights or codes that I can visibly notice but even in sport mode the acceleration of the vehicle is not responsive. This is a known issue at Hyundai as one local dealership offered me a service visit 6 months out because they are so overbooked with these issues. A quick google search also brought up numerous owners experiencing similar and and escalated issues to include complete engine failure and vehicle overheating. This vehicle needs to be recalled immediately! I experience this loss of power every single time I drive and I don't feel safe driving my new car anymore. I have mentioned this to my dealership and they are going to take a look at it today. Occasionally, the car will also indicate to me that I should keep my hands on the steering wheel when I typically drive with both hands on the steering wheel.

Other Fuel System problem #118

This Tucson limited has 3500 miles on it from purchase last September - 2022. Less than 1/2 mile from home and accelerating to about 35mph the engine lost power where speed reduced to about 20mph, acted like air intake was being choked. Did not see any caution lights on the dash. I coasted for 30 feet - luckily the street had no traffic - and the engine began to operate normally. I continued traveling about 2 miles and it happened again but briefly - still on town roads, continued driving and it happened once again climbing a hill. Made it part way up and power came back. Continued driving to destination another 2 miles, parked the car for about 45 minutes, came back, car started normally, drove home without incident. If this occurred on a busy road or highway I'm sure the trip would have ended in an accident. I believe this is a dangerous fault. Car is in for service now and they say the ecu was updated. Hope that corrected the problem as my wife refuses to drive it without some confidence level improvement.

Other Fuel System problem #119

-there are 3 problems. The 1st and most dangerous, is a combo of the engine, transmission, and fuel system. The 2nd is malfunctioning sensors. The 3rd is water leaking in under my glove box onto the floor mat. The car upon 3 different occasions has stopped accelerating in the middle of traffic. 1st: the car would not go past 30mph and it stuttered/ shook. I parked and turned the car off, but 5 minutes later it reset and ran "normal". The 2nd time in Dec 2022, I was on annapolis rd. (maryland) at about 10pm while alone. It would not accelerate past 35mph, the check engine light came on, and the engine/transmission started shaking and stuttering. I was almost rear ended so I pulled over. The next day when I called the dealership, the car had once again reset itself. The dealer brushed me off, said the cars are so computerized that if they couldn't replicate it they couldn't fix it and said they were backed up on appointments. The 3rd time, the car stopped accelerating on the beltway as I was taking my exit home, almost got rear ended, as I was pulling off the exit and trying to pull over the car started producing white smoke and the smell of gas, the engine control system (1st time of these 3 instances) alerted to shut the car down. The gear shift would not work properly while trying to shut it off. It massively leaked gas out of the vehicle and into the oil/ oil filter. While broken down, multiple cars almost ran into it as it had shut down after a major intersection. The car almost exploded/ caught fire. It was towed to an autobody shop to be inspected as I did not trust the dealership. No repairs were made. Only an oil change and new oil filter. There was a random misfire code. But ran normally once reset. There was no damage that he inspected and called it a lemon. The dealer has the car, and has yet to diagnose it or give me a loaner. All regular maintenance performed and all system checks have come back normal up to this point.

Other Fuel System problem #120

Car intermittently will loose power (shortly after commencement of driving). This will remedy itself by shutting off engine and restarting. This has happened 4 or 5 times within the fist 3,000 miles. This is a vehicle and traffic safety issue that could cause lives!.

Other Fuel System problem #121

I was driving on the highway, and at roughly 55 mph, the vehicle suddenly lost power; it seemed to regain function momentarily, and then the check engine light went on, and then the vehicle shut down. The vehicle was then rolling. Thankfully I was able to throw hazards on quick enough and the vehicles around me were alert enough not to collide into my vehicle and I was able to get the vehicle over to the shoulder before the lost momentum. The vehicle was then towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership. The dealership informed me that the engine produced code p030200, meaning that the fuel injector on cylinder 2 had failed. They were able to replace it. The vehicle was at 24188 miles at the time.

Other Fuel System problem #122

Hev and engine light came on while car was in motion and immediately lost power/decelerated, causing traffic hazzard to other potential drivers due to sudden and unexpected change in speed and inability to move car out of road. There were no prior warnings. Car is in shop and available for inspection.

Other Fuel System problem #123

Without any warning indicator my 2022 Hyundai Tucson (11850 miles on car) stalled on the road. I received an alert on my phone from Hyundai, after the car shut down that there was a system failure. Car was towed to pugi Hyundai dealership (where I purchased in new in Jan. 2022) and after several days I was advised the following: cause: p0303 cylinder #3 misfire active. Hyundai technical service bulletin 23-FL-002h-1 addressed concern. 20da14r1 replace 1 gdi fuel injector which includes ((1) injector assey-fuel, (3) combustion seal ring, (1) pipe-high pressure, (4 ) k-bolt. The dealership and Hyundai corp. State that until the vehicle breaks down they aren't able to replace the known defective parts. Therefore, I am left driving a vehicle that without warning can stall on the road which is a major safety risk!!!! this is absolutely not acceptable. This should be a recall! the dealership stated they can replace the remailing 3 fuel injectors for $799. 00 pre-tax. I asked what batch of fuel injectors are they using and the service manager stated the new and improved. The old batch was discarded!!!! how is this legal??????.

Other Fuel System problem #124

I turned right into my driveway at a slow speed. As I went onto the driveway, the car surged forward. To avoid driving into the garage door, I turned to the left to drive along the side of my house thinking I would be able to stop it. I kept hitting the break but the car kept going. When the vehicle did not stop, I steered to the right because I thought it could be possible that my neighbor's dog could be in the adjacent yard (to the left of my house) the ground between the houses is pitched down (to the left) towards my house and I side-swiped the back half of the side of my house. Although applying the break, my car continued after sideswiping the side of my house with the front right side of my car and went into the house behind my house causing damage to that house. My car stopped when it went into the house behind my house.

Other Fuel System problem #125

New 2022 tuscon limited power train stalled, would not accelerate randomly while on the highway in NJ on route 4. Had to get to side of the road and put hazards on as was unable to accelerate past 40mph in a 65mph zone. Once turning off the car, the electrical systems reset. It was crazy I only had the car for 200miles. Thank god it was a leased car. Flash forward it occurred twice before hitting 1k miles. Took it to get serviced and service department had no idea and said nothing was found to be the cause after the second time it stalled. Other incident was around 20k miles gas lock latch broke somehow and couldn't open gas tank to put gas in car. Went to 3 dealerships, 2 couldn't see me without an appointment. Had to get it snapped off then come back to get car serviced which took 2 additional hrs. Unreliable.

Other Fuel System problem #126

On June 1, 2023 I was driving on a highway, suddenly lost the ability to accelerate, the car suddenly losing power and a warning message said to leave the road and have hybrid system checked. I pulled over, car idling, reentered highway only able to use low speed ( was 55 mph zone) to get to an exit a short distance away I had to be towed, the warning message still appearing at the dealership but no problem could be identified. This was an extremely dangerous situation, I have not had a problem like this again but remain concerned about a reoccurrence I have reached out to Hyundai about my concerns about 1) how roadside assistance was handled (response obtained) and 2) my concerns about this vehicle failure. I have reached out again this month to Hyundai, last contact they did not have the correct car or case number, have not called back since . This is case #21511789.

Other Fuel System problem #127

On two occasions, both on busy highways traveling at about 65mph the engine just quit running. Very scary but fortunately was able to drift to the side of the road and wait for assistance. The car was towed to the nearest dealer two hours from my home. After the fuel injectors were replaced it was returned to us two weeks later. It only had 9,000 miles on it. This is a very dangerous problem to just stop running with no warning. We could have been hit from behind and killed.

Other Fuel System problem #128

On Friday 05. 26. 2023 I was driving on the highway and lost all acceleration power to the vehicle and was almost rear ended by a semi. Iwas able to pull off the road but had no power of more than 2 mph to do so. No warning lights came on, no engine error codes. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership pending review. I have only 1,355 miles on the vehicle. I am afraid to drive this car.

Other Fuel System problem #129

05/11/2023 driving on highway (work zone) dash flashed hybrid system failure - I was in the fast lane with tractor trailer in front ,behind ,and alongside me - gas pedal stopped working at that point nothing worked - managed to coast to the shoulder (could have been killed) had it towed to Hyundai - they checked the computer and said nothing was wrong . That means if we were killed - Hyundai would be off the hook and they would say human error because they said no faults were stored and the codes were clear.

Other Fuel System problem #130

While driving on the freeway, suddenly lost power while driving 60 mph and was unable to accelerate. Almost avoided an accident, while trying to merge to the shoulder of the road, while the car just puttering. While on the shoulder, the check engine light came on. Unable to drive and had to get towed.

Other Fuel System problem #131

The car slowed down so I tried stepping on the gas pedal and noticed it wasn’t working, then I tried stepping on the brake pedal and it didn’t work neither. The car slowed down and called it to get towed.

Other Fuel System problem #132

Attempting to enter I-295 south in portland, me at exit 7 on March 18, 2023. We were in our 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid limited with approximately 6,000 miles. I tried to accelerate from the ramp to merge into traffic. The vehicle would not accelerate at all. I made several attempts to accelerate and nothing would happen. Pulled into the breakdown lane while applying pressure to the accelerator but it would not accelerate. The vehicle was in ev (electric vehicle) mode. After approximately 1 minute the vehicle did accelerate. No further problems that day. We called the dealership immediately and left a message regarding the incident. On Monday March 20th we followed up with the dealership and scheduled an appointment for the next day on the 21st of March we dropped the vehicle at the dealership. We picked it up at the end of the day and they told us they installed a software update TSB 23-ee-002h to repair the issue.

Other Fuel System problem #133

Twice when my car shifted from second to third gear I lost throttle response and the engine went to idle speed. When I shut the vehicle off and restarted it worked.

Other Fuel System problem #134

I have had 3 fuel injectors go out on my 2022 Hyundai Tucson. When this happened it was completely random and my car would stall and I would be stuck on the side of the road. I have had to miss work due to this happening. They told me that they are only able to replace the broken one each time instead of replace the all 4 while covered under warranty. They also told me that fuel injectors breaking is a common problem in 2022 and newer Tucson's as they are higher pressure systems than previous models. Im worried that this is going to keep happening and I'm going to keep breaking down due to fuel injectors breaking and end up stranded somewhere.

Other Fuel System problem #135

The car completely stalled while in the middle of driving. I was on the interstate and was unable to go at appropriate speed, making it dangerous for other drivers. This is the second time that this has happened. The first time, the dealerships said that it was a faulty fuel injector, and replaced it. However, 2 months later, the same problem occurred again. Because I wasn't in an accident, the car was not inspected by anyone other than the dealer. I did not receive any warning lights or symptoms.

Other Fuel System problem #136

My wife was driving on the parkway north in new jersey at approximately 65 miles an hour at about 3:45 pm. The car began to lose power, was shaking, and sputtering. Luckily, she was able to pull onto the shoulder and did not get hit by another car or truck. Once she pulled over, she let the car rest for about 10 minutes and started it up again. It hesitated, but started. Once she put it in gear, it stalled. She tried this two other times and it stalled each time. She waited for a tow truck and the care was towed to the dealer. The dealer invoice with repairs is attached.

Other Fuel System problem #137

With approximately 6552 miles on the car, 7 months after I bought it new, the vehicle sputtered and shut off. The gdi pump was replaced. It has not runnright since. It sputters, it does not respond appropriately when the accelerator is pressed, it went into limp mode and would not go more than 35 mph. It did not throw and engine code when this happened. This is a huge problem in itself. I could be out of oil and it potentially will not throw a code or warning. When the dealer had it for 45 days they drove it approximately 100 mile and could not duplicate. It is a serious danger to my life and I refuse to drive it. I had it towed and it now sits in my driveway will the lemon law case is processing.

Other Fuel System problem #138

I am an active-duty service member who purchased a new 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid on 16 October 2021. The car occasionally makes a strange humming noise while the vehicle is completely turned off. I recorded my car making this strange noise, and the video recording can be seen at https://youtu. Be/by8gjenowbq. I had previously notified Hyundai maintenance of this during a scheduled vehicle check; nothing was done to resolve this matter. The advertised fuel economy on this car is 36/37/37 (city/combined/highway) miles per gallon. I am currently getting 28 mpg (see attachment), which is approximately 30% below the advertised fuel economy. Since I purchased this vehicle, it has consistently delivered a poor fuel economy well below the advertised fuel economy. After trying to resolve the poor fuel economy issue with Hyundai for 9 months (see attachment), I reached out to the better business bureau seeking a resolution. On 17 November 2022, I was notified by the better business bureau that Hyundai rejected my proposed resolutions of Hyundai repairing the car under manufacturer warranty or replace it if unable to fix the poor fuel economy, as well as reimburse me for money spent due to excessive fuel consumption. .
