The blind spot warning went off and locked all the brakes up. We were not able to move the vehicle and could not even pull off the road out of traffic. There is no way to disable the brakes when the computer or sensors are malfunctioning. We had to get the vehicle towed.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? > while driving, the following systems fail and become inoperable sporadically: blind-spot safety system, tire pressure monitoring system, Smart cruise control system, lane following assist system, speed limit warning system, shifter system malfunction, infotainment system, hvac controls and turn signals. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? > I lose access to all safety systems and am unable to see anything on my dashboard while every single light flashes on the dash. Being unable to utilize my turn signals is dangerous because I must restart the vehicle for the issue to be resolved. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? > the problems were confirmed - but not reproduced by the Hyundai certified service center. They stated that they can see logs of the issues and were unable to diagnose the specific failures without the warning lights being actively present. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? > yes. It was sold to me as a certified pre-owned vehicle directly from a Hyundai dealership. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? > the warnings and failures appeared at 64,752 miles, which is less than 5,000 miles after the warranty coverage ended. I purchased the vehicle with 64,300 miles. The issues began less than 500 miles after purchase.
Vehicle was parked for an hour facing south. When vehicle was started, forward safety and blind spot monitoring warnings came on and many other systems tied to forward camera were disengaged. Mileage: 123k. Power steering was unresponsive and brakes felt spongy. Disconnected battery and let sit for a day. Reconnected and issue went away. A week later, was parked at hospital facing south for 4 hours. Issue came back, this time disconnecting battery did not fix issue. Dealer currently has the vehicle and they are claiming it shows rear end damage even though the car hasn’t been in an accident since I was rear ended and car was repaired. Dealer reported over 80 body codes including blind spot monitoring radar.
Warning lights and messages for the blind spot safety system and rear cross traffic safety system appear in driver information display. Those systems failed to function. Took to dealer for diagnosis/repair. After dealership working on vehicle both systems fail to function.
I got this message on the car screen: check hybrid system!! last Sunday I was driving when I lost all acceleration and this warning came up and told me to pull over safely.
This is the 2-3 time that the sound of my radio and safety features does not work. There is no sound at all! if the sounds of the safety features are not working, I feel extremely unsafe driving this car!!!!.
2022 Hyundai tuscon abruptly locks steering wheel while driving to the point you cannot turn the steering wheel. Many different types of warnings appear on the dash from blind spot warning to front end collision. Luckily, we were going at a moderate speed, I was driving and forced the wheel to turn enough to get off the road. If this happens to a woman while driving, they will most likely not be able to turn the wheel at all with zero control of the vehicle. Extremely dangerous life-threatening situation, and dealer has been notified. The vehicle has to be towed as it's a major safety risk. This has happened 3 times and the dealer has record of the fault codes but do not know what the problem is at this time. Vehicle only has 16,000 miles on it. When this happens, I can turn off the vehicle and let it power down a minute or two and re-start it and all dash lights are gone and the vehicle is fine again. Most certainly a faulty very dangerous electrical system problem in my opinion.
