1 Warning problem

Failure Date: 10/03/2025

The forward attention monitor (or driver attention monitor/warning. . . Or something similarly named) that monitors the driver's eyes to insure he/she is looking forward at all times) is overly sensitive and shuts off the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping systems. While it does this, there is a beeping, and a text display on the dash that requires reading, it is probably a sentence long, further distracting the driver from looking at the road. . . . This potentially would cause a following vehicle, or a vehicle in an adjacent lane to make a defensive maneuver, or to have to brake abruptly, as one example. . . Basically not safe) adjusting the steering column to a safe driving position for me (the eye sensor is located on top of the steering column) also caused this system to turn off the cruise control and lane keeping systems constantly, causing me to have to raise it to an uncomfortable driving position. Also, related to this, the hvac controls have very dim indicator lights to let the the driver know the fan speed or status of the a/c, making it very hard for the driver to see it and make quick changes before the stupid eye sensor (forward attention monitor or driver attention monitor) cuts off the other safety features. I wear non polarized sunglasses to be able drive safely in the very bright arizona sun, and to see the hud which is impossible to read if wearing polarized sunglasses. I have worn sunglasses while driving for over 50 years. This 2025 Hyundai Tucson limited hybrid is the first car that has this very overly sensitive driver attention warning system and if it is not adjusted quickly will cause me to sell this otherwise excellent vehicle at a great financial loss. My hope is that it can be adjusted with a software update or physical parts update, before this causes an very unfortunate vehicle accident. It makes driving this vehicle extremely unsafe. I have asked the dealer more than once about this and they say there is no current fix. Thank yo.

2 Warning problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2025

The electronic dashboard and heads up display go blank for as little as a few seconds to over 30 seconds. This happens over and over again. Sometimes in doesn't happen at all but more often than not it does. I have no data when this does this, no idea what speed I'm going at, no data about the blind spot safety controls. Nothing. If it unsafe to drive without knowing what speed you are going and other information. The dealer said they could not reproduce the condition even though there is a hyundia technical service bulletin out for the same problem on a similar Hyundai and many, similar reports on the Hyundai forum. The dealer said they could do nothing even though I had to drive off in an unsafe vehicle.

3 Warning problem

Failure Date: 08/26/2025

The Hyundai Tucson's "consider taking a break" advisory is triggered by the driver attention warning (daw) system. This warning happens so frequently that it is more than an annoyance, but a safety issue, because the driver must continually take their eyes off the road to examine what the vehicle is complaining about, and therefore could conceivably be the cause of a crash. Dealer is aware of issue. See attached technical service bulletin. The problem is easily reproducible.

4 Warning problem

Failure Date: 07/03/2025

Please see case 11675610 I have been told that this is for the same concerns I have my car is currently at the dealer for the third time to try and resolve this same issue dash will flash and go black for several seconds, when and if it comes back it will have all emergency lights on or flash no signal heads up display will also flash going blank this will be out for a longer period of time and is not always at the same time as the dash going out. When car is turned off after driving it will occasionally still show emergency lights on dash. Even after closing and reopening door, turning car back on and off safety concerns include but not limited to not seeing speedometer, safety lights and warnings.

5 Warning problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2025

All new Hyundais have a driver assist warning that does not function well and suggests the driver to take a coffee break every 15-20 minutes if it thinks it detects something that is inattentive. This error distracts the driver from the road and requires the driver to manually clear it with pushing buttons. This is an unnecessary distraction. Hyundai should be able to correct this with a software update, but has failed to do so for at least a handful of years.

6 Warning problem

Failure Date: 05/01/2025

The heads up display and dashboard randomly go blank for up to to 20 minutes at a time. During this, all alert warnings appear on the dash, no turn signals work, no sensor warnings alarm - no warnings of obstacles, no miles per hour are visible.

7 Warning problem

Failure Date: 04/24/2025

Control screen keeps going randomly blank, for different periods of time, putting the driver at risk, because the vehicle information, including speed, lights, wipers, basically everything is displayed in this screen. Sometimes the sentence no signal shows up. I had experienced several scary situations, specially in freeways when raining, you have zero driving information. The car has been to the dealership service 4 times, with different tentatives of repair, none of which worked. The last time my car was at the dealership service for 25 days and after 2 days the problem was back, even worse. Sometimes all the lights of the control screen light up, with no reason and keep on even after the car is turned off. This is our only car and we need it, but the car is absolutely unsafe and unreliable. I refuse to leave the car for a 5th time, Hyundai has no idea what the issue is and obviously cannot fix it. The lane assist is also malfunctioning, sometimes the warning system doesn’t work properly. Twice the car emergency brakes stopped the car abruptly without a reason to do so (no risk of collision, no car or object in front ). One of those times the car behind me almost hit me, because the stop was abrupt and for no reason. I have many videos and pictures, but apparently I cannot upload the videos in this form. I have the paperwork, but Hyundai refused to refund for the vehicle. I highly recommend an investigation, Hyundai is getting away with a very serious problem and someone will get hurt as a result of these issues. Thank you for the attention.

8 Warning problem

Failure Date: 04/14/2025

Multiple owners of the 2025 Tucson hybrid limited awd have reported the same issue with the vehicle's "driver assistance warning" system. The system constantly beeps and, sometimes, takes control of the vehicle, slowing it down, and forcing the driver to pull over. This happened to my wife and me on our recent roundtrip from apache junction, az, to los angeles. In the middle of jam-packed, six-lane freeways with vehicles traveling at 70 mph or more the Tucson would beep-beep-beep and say "keep your eyes on the road. " but, of course, the driver's eyes were on the road. Then the system would take control and slow the car down to 30 mph or so, creating a terrifying and highly dangerous situation. And this is supposed to be a safey sytem. The system obviously was not properly tested in real-life road situations. Apparently, the height of the driver's eyes, their arm position while holding the wheel, whether they're wearing sunglasses . . . All sorts of factors seem to confuse the system and cause it to act when it should do nothing. I have turned off all the driver assistance warnings possible, but it makes no difference. And other drivers report having the same issues--unwarranted, dangerous reactions by the car that cannot be stopped by turning the driver assistance features off. Hyundai has failed in its duty to properly test its driver assistance features. The most rudimentary road testing would have revealed these issues, but Hyundai has put these vehicles on the market without the appropriate testing. Someone needs to do something about it.

9 Warning problem

Failure Date: 04/14/2025

This vehicle has a notification "consider taking a break. " it activates every 20-30 minutes, even though I am a safe driver. It is distraction to driving, whith is less safe than the warning itself. I would like for you to contact Hyundai to find a way to disconnect this, for they say it can not be disabled. Diosabling can be done on older models, but not newer models. I have a 2025 Hyundai tuscon. It is a sfety hazard.

10 Warning problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2025

The “consider taking a break” message flashes and dings which startles and distracts me and is not safe while I’m driving. It does this even when I am driving safe.
