The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. In addition, the contact stated that the hybrid system failure warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had persisted. The contact drove the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway and turned off the vehicle. The contact stated the vehicle remained parked for twenty minutes before the vehicle was restarted, and the hybrid system independently reset. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that previously the vehicle was taken to the dealer, however the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was provided a monetary offer because of the inconvenience. The failure mileage was approximately 5, 966.

Hybrid Propulsion System problem #2

The contact owns a 2022 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, the vehicle lost motive power without warning. The contact pulled over on the side of the road and turned off the vehicle. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle operated normally. On another occasion while attempting to reverse out a parking spot, the transmission failed to shift into reverse. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the transmission was replaced. On another occasion while starting the vehicle, the message indicating the hybrid battery failure was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that harness control needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage 60,000.
