The contact owns a 2016 Hyundai Veloster. The contact stated while driving on the highway at 65 mph, the vehicle started to jerk, and the oil warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the highway to inspect the vehicle and the contact became aware that the oil level was low. The contact waited for several minutes before restarting the vehicle and continued driving to the residence. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the catalytic convertor had caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage 132,000.
