1 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2024

The component that failed is acceleration. He came from work at the frywed when he reduced the speed from 65 to 30 and no longer accelerated . . If an independent service had no warning or failure at that time they were detected.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/13/2024

As I was driving on the highway I started losing power and a warning of transmission over heating appeared on screen. I let the car sit and cool down and when I started it up again the same issue persisted, I had the car towed home. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk since I was driving and highway speed and car just slowed down during rush hour traffic. The vehicle has not been expected at this time.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/04/2020

I was stopped at a stop sign and upon stepping on the gas, I noticed that the car would not accelerate. It was making a humming sound similar to if it were in neutral. I cannot seem to have any power when shifting into sport mode getting onto the highway and does not accelerate at all. It makes an odd noise. I felt car hiccup at first when accelerating. This could be a dct issue and could be safety issue also. Car is at approx 77,000 miles at this time. Similar acceleration issues reported with this vehicle by myself prior although not this severe and sport mode was working fine.

4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2019

Veloster Hyundai's 7-speed dct contains a design defect in the transmission control module (tcm) that causes, among other problems, failure to shift, stalling, delayed acceleration, or loss of power. these conditions are hazardous because they severely affect the driver's ability to control the vehicle during normal driving conditions and prevent drivers from accelerating to maintain safe speeds in traffic,.

5 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/05/2018

Car is now hesitating upon acceleration and sounding louder than usual as well. Rpm is not moving up much and harder to speed up, even in sport mode. Dangerous when needing to go at relatively high speeds (onto highway onramps etc).

6 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 05/22/2018

Veloster turbo dct model. When the car isn't fully warmed up, the car suddenly loses power upon medium to hard acceleration. Pressing the accelerator increases engine revs and transmission actually shifts, but no power is being put to the wheels. You have to fully lift off the accelerator and then depress again to get power back. For example, accelerating to merge into freeway traffic is dangerous as it loses power as you are merging and could easily be rear ended. Or turning left across traffic, if the vehicle loses power mid turn you could be hit by oncoming traffic. Happens every time you have medium to hard acceleration when the vehicle isn't fully warmed up. Has happened too many times to number. There is video documentation on the internet of same problem.

7 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 08/31/2016

Accelerating by itself, lunging in stop/go traffic. Motor revs into passing gear all the way to 6500 rpm . But stays in the current speed, and sometimes will hold at certain rpm even if not on gas , very laggy in rev I feel I'm driving older car with messed up transmission.
