Seats problem #1

When my car 2016 Hyundai Veloster reached almost 95000 mileage the oil starts to dissipate much faster so started to do oil change much often. Recently and my care already at 97000 mileage. We are driving going up a hill and it started to make some noise kind of like a motorcycle noise and I know there is something wrong but no light warnings or anything. I was trying to push it to get to a safer side of the road because I have my 86 year old mother with me but the car did nor make it and heard something snap really loud and the car just stopped and saw a little bit of smoke. Had to stop immediately on the side of the road and it was a bad spot against the rail and that blocked the 2 doors on the right side. The car only have 3 doors so now my mother is stuck and had to figure out how to have her crawl out to get out the driver side of the vehicle. If the car was on fire that would have been really dangerous. Took it to the mechanic and my insurance inspector already saw the car and determined that there was some kind of rod that came off and that the engine is blown an that it is with a hole. It is beyond repair or if I do it will cost $5000-$6000. I bought it on 2018 with only 5000 miles on it. I kept up with yearly maintenance. I think it is insane that it will break that fast and we are traumatize with the danger. I am not ready financially for this.

Seats problem #2

- lumbar support on driver seat cracked or snapped and no longer is functional what so ever - the seat itself feels sunken and nothing like the passenger seat which does not have lumbar support - unknown - no inspection of vehicle yet - no prior notifications or signs of failure.

Seats problem #3

My accident the air bag did not deploy hitting another vehicle it deployed after hitting a curb which would have been 2 nd impact to deploy it should have come out then, the bar in the head rest came out which cut my head and I received staples in my head. What the other metal things that flew out of the steering I don't know but they cut and burned my arm very bad. I was going straight on a two lane street. When the car backed into to the intersection it did not come from my right or my left. I was 3/4 of the way across the intersection when this car appeared backing up. I could not stop in time and hit it in the rear of their car.

Seats problem #4

There is one serious safety defect with this car, the side mirror adjustments (in particular the passenger's side). The dealership has not been able to properly adjust the mirror and they stated that the limited adjustable was "just how it was designed. " therefore, I would like this researched further and corrective actions taken. This car is not as safe as it should be. Specifically, when a tall, larger person has the seat set in the far back position, and sits up fairly high, the right side mirror cannot be properly adjusted, and in combination with the rear view mirrors and the left side mirror, it creates "blind spots," and, in particular, a very large "blind spot" to the right--very dangerous when changing lanes or passing!.
