I noticed a clunking when stopping. My hired mechanic claims the engine cradle is rusted through and needs replacement. I read it had a recall for this vehicle. 2004 Hyundai Xg350 4 door sedan.
Vehicle has a front rusted subframe in two spots on passenger side it will not pass inspection. Car was inspected at mechanic during a routine oil change. Mechanic stated that the frame was rusted, which could affect the ability to safely operate the vehicle. I did a search and discovered that similar damage was noted in a recall 09-01-020 dated July 2009. Unfortunately, my vehicle was not included in the recall due to the manufacture date, but the same problem as the ones included in the recall exists.
