~tl the contact owns a 2005 Hyundai Xg350. While the vehicle was parked, it caught fire and exploded under the console where the stick shift was located. The vehicle was pounded. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 53,000.

2 Dash Wiring problem of the 2004 Hyundai XG350

Failure Date: 03/09/2005

Vehicle caught on fire inside the passenger compartment apparently due to an electrical failure of some kind related to the sunroof or the dome light switches. The fire dept. Responded and hosed down the vehicles interior to extinguish the fire. The vehicle was subsequently declared a total loss by my insurance company.
