Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Infiniti Ex35. The contact stated that he had recieved a NHTSA campaign number:15v054000(steering) and had taken the vehicle to the dealer to service the vehicle under the recall. The dealer was to replace the steering shaft. The dealer had informed the contact that they had problems replacing the steering shaft,however, the vehicle was repaired under the recall. While driving approximately 30 mph, suddenly the contact stated that the steering wheel was not controlling the vehicle and seized. The contact had also loud drilling noise. The contact had then coasted over and continued to drive to his residence at a low speed. The vehicle had not yet been back to the dealer for a diagnosis,however, the dealer was contacted. The contact stated that he had never experienced a failure prior to taking the vehicle to the dealer for the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the approximate failure mileage was 62,400. Gb.
