Power Train problem #1

The contact owns a 2011 Infiniti Fx. The contact stated that the vehicle would shift erroneously between second and third gears. The dealer confirmed the failure but the vehicle was not repaired. The dealer advised that a remedy had not been generated for the particular failure. The failure mileage was 100 and the current mileage was 8,000.

Power Train problem #2

Complaints are as follows: 7 speed transmission has problems shifting in low gears. Seems that between 3rd & 4th gear car has a problem accelerating. I can't merge into traffic or pass another car without worrying that the car will not pick up enough speed. I have had many occasions when the car behind me honks and pulls up close to my car because I am going too slow. Even if I push the peddle to the floor, it lags in speed. It seems to be a problem when going up an incline as well. The car also lunges forward when I am coming to a stop. I do not feel that this is a safe automobile to drive. It does not happen every time so I can not prepare for my response. I have had the car back to the dealer, holman infinity, in maple shade, many times. They said it is just the characteristic of the car and that is the way the car in built to drive. They basically deny that there is a problem. I have done some research on line to find out that there have been many complaints about the same problem that I am having. It seems to have started in 09. Nissan has evidently been able to do a "reflash" for the 09's but nothing for the newer models. I am currently in contact with infinity and am told my case is in arbitration. I feel that this is just another stall tactic. It has been over a year that I have been waiting for them to come up with a computer "update" to fix this problem. There needs to be an investigation and a recall of this engine. I have been told that it is the same engine that Nissan uses in the maxima and ultima and they have similar problems the the 7 speed transmission. I am afraid to drive my car on the highway due to not being certain when the lag in speed will happen. I drive in the right lane, can not pass, and just cross my fingers and pray that I will be able to merge onto the highway without getting into an accident. Please help me!!.

Power Train problem #3

I have a 2010 Infiniti Fx35 it has a new feature rev idling; it is suppose to keep the rpms consistent as the engine slows; my car has very distinct power surges it will race up to an additional 1000 rpms as the car starts to come to a halt; Infiniti has made 5 attempts on this car and has refused me service and I have been told through their customer service (national not dealer level) that I am basically out of luck. This sudden rapid acceleration has caused me to run off the road twice to avoid hitting the car in front of me and is a huge safety hazard; I have owned 300 new vehicles and this is the first I have asked an oem to buy back it is a safety hazard they have denied my request and I have been denied service on a 2010 with 8900 miles.
