Engine roars periodically when I hit the brakes. Car safety problem: gas pedal too high. When depress the brake petal, side of foot can concurrently depress the gas petal, causing car to lurch forward. Dealer said can't fix, showed me that pedals on my 2011 Fx35 identical to others at the dealership.
We traded in a 2006 Infiniti Fx35 for a 2010 model. The 2010 Fx35 does not stop properly. When we take foot off brake, the car goes forward on its' own and when we take foot off gas, car continues to travel. We have had the car checked by Nissan Infiniti of palm beaches, they said the car has no problems. We notified Nissan north America, inc. Larry rowe, specialist dealer tech. Came to Nissan Infiniti of palm beaches. He told us the car is programmed this way, because there were problems in the past with the car stalling - well now it doesn't stop. He admitted there are other complaints. The problem cannot be resolved, because it is programmed in the computer. The car is not safe and appears to get worse with time. We are careful about driving a reasonable distance behind other vehicles. There is, however, that chance that this car is an accident waiting to happen. We can't even pull into a parking space without the car hitting the stop bumpers before we get the car into park. We've also spoken with derek (?) in customer service and he tells us the same story- sorry, but that's the way the car is programmed. Infiniti customer service number for derek is [xxx].
