Differential Unit problems of the 2003 Infiniti FX35

Two problems related to differential unit have been reported for the 2003 Infiniti FX35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Differential Unit problem

Failure Date: 05/12/2018

Tl-the contact owns a 2003 infinti Fx35. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speed, an abnormal noise was coming from under the vehicle. The vehicle was toed to an independent mechanic where they informed the contact that the transaxle and differential was fractured. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 03v164000 (power train). The approximate failure mileage was 200,000. Ak.

2 Differential Unit problem

Failure Date: 10/10/2004

Front axle and differential have been seperated 3 times. Also power steering has failed.
