One problem related to adaptive equipment has been reported for the 2007 Infiniti FX35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The "vdc off" "slip" error light comes on as soon as steering column is moved, thus traction control is shut off for use in slippery conditions. The vehicle get squirrelly on wet pavement. If I raise the steering column all the way up and in, it is ok. Once you try to adjust the steering column the error light comes on. We drove the vehicle for the next 5,000 miles (9 months) without adjusting the wheel, ie. Turned off memory self-adjusting feature. It is obvious that there is a loose or broken wire in the steering column from all the automatic moving up and out of the way when car is shut off and back on again. Then about the same time, the seat quit retracting every time. It still does automatically retract and moves forward from time to time, but not often anymore. Now 5,000 miles later, after trying to adjust wheel, the "vdc off, slip" light stay on always. It won't go out no matter what position the steering column is in. Also, the supplemental restraint light is now always flashing. This means that in an accident the air bags or seat belt tensioners will not work.
