One problem related to carrier/rack has been reported for the 2009 Infiniti FX35. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Cracking dashboard in multiple areas: around entertainment center, around each air vent, where knee touches dash (near steering wheel). And now I'm feeling the driver's side arm rest begin to crumble. I believe there is an inferior product behind the fancy dash material and it is now crumbling. Vehicle is parked at home in garage or in shade.
