Infiniti FX35 owners have reported 31 problems related to body (under the structure category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The front side rails of the body of the vehicle have corroded (rusted) from the inside and have perforated the exterior of the members exposing them to further damage. In my opinion, the vehicle is no longer safe to be driven without the risk of the the members collapsing and possibly causing an accident.

In November of 2019, while driving my son to school. The passenger door locks wouldn't allow the door to open. He had to climb over my seat in order to exit the vehicle. The door has not opened since. I've called several Infiniti dealers since last Nov and they all have referred me to a body shop to fix the problem. All 3 body shops I've contacted had no idea how to fix the problem or how to get the door open without doing major damage to the vehicle. I ha e filed a complaint with Infiniti customer relations, they told me that since the car is out of warranty they will not help w any repair cost. I have also spoken with a design engineer from Nissan about this issue. He confirmed that this is a major safety hazzard that needs addressed immediately. Upon research in the Infiniti forums and other websites I notice that I am not the only one with this issue. Several people have experienced the same issue. Today I was finally able to contact a head tech at louisville Infiniti. He said the only way to open this door is to take a let bar and destroy the inside of the door in order to break the latch. This will break the window as possibly damage the internal frame structure. There is also no guarantee of the fix nor could he estimate the cost of getting the door to even open.

I opened the sunroof while driving about 60-70 mph on the highway and the glass of the sunroof completely flew off the car and went up in the air about 30-40 feet. The break or separation of the glass from the roof was clean so there was no damage to the sunroof mount/bracket which still operates like it should without the glass. This is vary dangerous as it could kill someone driving behind me. My insurance company said that the sunroof glass should not break apart from the mount of any vehicle, that I should contact the manufacture. I called Infiniti consumer affairs and they do not want to do anything for me.
The dashboard of the car has started cracking and is cracking rapidly.

Doors won't stay locked.
The dashboard of the vehicle has started to melt/bubble up. This has resulted in a very shiny/sticky dash which on sunny days reflects light back up onto the inside of the windshield creating a very distracting/obstructing glare making it difficult to see the road. Infinity extended their warranty from 2010 up to 2014 to replace the dashboard but will now do nothing to correct this safety hazard even though it did not appear on my car till this year.
I recently bought a 2007 Infiniti Fx35 and the dashboard is completely melted away. It's sticky and there are cracks from the driver side to the passenger side. This is dangerous as it can cause the airbag to deploy! the previous owner has a dashboard cover on it which I can't remove and take pictures of because it's stuck by the melting material.
The dashboard has bubbled and is very hot to the touch. I have been trying for years to get this replaced. I want to start a class action suit. I see many cars with the same issue.

The dash of my car is in very poor conditions, and replaced it once and continuous passin this entire melted and caused me itching.
I have my car wash that day, and when I was cleaning inside a notice something sticky on my dashboard. . . And it is melting down front of my eye's and I don't know what to do . . . I am afraid to call the company because I have no more guarantee in the car. . .
The exterior door handles of my Fx35 all came off. . When trying to open door. Initially occurred with one of the rear doors. Thought maybe I was too rough with it. . So didnt make much of it. When second rear door broke off. . I knew something wasnt right. I call Infiniti. . They replied stating that there wasno recall. The driver side handle then broke off 2 years ago. . Then finally front passenger last month. I cant believe it. When you spend money on an "luxury" vehicle, all four of the door ahndles should not be coming off.
Ok this complaint is about the melting dashboard on mi vehicle is not only dangerous to drive when the sun is in front of you because of the glare but cosmetically looks disgusting, every time someone gets in my car asks me if my car has some kind of deceased or they even mention chickenpox as a joke. I contacted Infiniti about the issue end they told me that I just missed the recall and they couldn't do anything about it. Well the problem is still there and is a factory defect that not only me but thousands has the same problem. I ask you for your help to see if this problem could be resolved. I heard that Mazda has recall all their defective dashboard and I think that every other company such as luxury Infiniti should stand behind their product. I am a family man with two kids 12 and 7 and I would hate to think that something can happened while driving with this dashboard that maximizes the glare due to its condition. I took a few pictures to show you the glare and the defect. Also this happened in new york where I reside and every summer it gets worst and worst.
