The failure produced a glare from the bubbles, which made it difficult to see out of the front windshield. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall on the failure; however, the warranty was extended an additional four years around 2006. The contact was also informed that due to the vehicle not being brought in around the time of the warranty extension, they were no longer obligated to provide the repair free of charge.
